Recipe of the week

penguinmum's creamy fish pie: smoky, seasonal fish in a creamy white sauce with grated, rather than mashed, tatties on top - a meal of the highest comfort-food order.

DH's latest suggestion is 'Bosco' - is it awful?

(152 Posts)
DH has unconventional taste in names (to put it diplomatically - previous suggestions include Reef, Mowgli, and Roni) - his latest suggestion is Bosco - my immediate reaction was no but somehow it is growing on me. His (Irish) uncle was called Bosco but neither of us know anyone else of this name.

So honest opinions please - what do you think? (for the record I like more traditional names such as Noah and Gabriel although I also like a few unusual ones like Inigo although DH hates it)

I teach a Bosco. Doesn't seem to get teased.

Not to my taste, but beats Mowgli and Reef.

Safe place, stop and wait
Safe place, stop and wait
Safe ground, look around, listen for the traffic sound
If traffic's coming, let it pass
Until you cross the road at last
Then walking straight across the road
KEEP WATCHING! THAT'S THE CODE
grin

Well, I just looked it up on wikipedia and half of it went over my head. I didn't realise that the judge represented good and the snake represented evil. I just thought, wow that fortycoats is a right tramp and gis a look inside the wagon!

Emphasis: To bold a word, surround it with asterisks, so *hello* will display hello. For underline use _ , so _hello_ gives hello. For italics use ^, so ^hello^ gives hello. To strike out a word, surround it with two hyphens either side, so --dog-- gives dog

Links and smileys: To insert a smiley face, , type [smile] or :)

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
