To object to biscuits being served at NCT coffee mornings ?

I've just started going to my local NCT coffee mornings and I'm surprised to find that at all of the 5 or so homes I've been in all the kids are getting biscuits whilst the mums have coffee and cake.
I know I'll probably end up hosting one of these things one morning but I dont like the idea of providing sweet stuff for the under 2's. Wouldnt dried fruit or rice cakes be more appropriate ???

Aw come on, I felt like this with DD1, but not any more. It's nice to feel that their little bodies are temples, but I guarantee you will look back on this with a when you have another child!!

Giving an under-2 a biscuit every now and then is traditionally referred to as a "treat" and is unlikely to induce instant obesity.

It really isn't a big deal. If you don't want to serve biscuits/cake, of course that's your prerogative, but be prepared to find others do not share either your view or your rice cakes.

My two year old would have turned up her nose at biscuits let alone rice cakes if cake were in the picture.
