AIBU?

Is MN website insecure again? Anyone else got this?

I'm using MN on my Chromebook, its telling me the site is insecure, as does my iphone when I am using it, I have a logo which is a circle with the letter i inside.

I've goggled the icon, and it states that I am on a insecure site and could be hacked, I've ran my computer protection and I am fine, I have cleared cache.

Its only on MN that I have this logo, everything else I use is secured with the HTTPS green lock.

After the hacking scandal, I'm wondering if MN has applied for their security certificate to make to run the website securely? because I have tried everything else and that's what google is saying that MN is not secure?

Also since the logo showed up yesterday, this site is running very slow, I have to double tap everything and even then its takes a while to open a thread?

I found the site to be 'lagging' as well. However I'm also on Virgin Media, and it's been having problems the last few days/weeks. Having said that, other sites work fine for me.

It is noticeably slower today. I don't have any insecure notices though. I'm using my mobile browser and don't have any logo?

The first photo is saying MN is insecure.

We should have a Logo of a green lock secure HTTPS saying the site is secure (2nd picture)

As I said all my pages are running secure it's only MN that is showing as not secure and running very slow.

helena [love my chrome book too] chrome books are the safest devices to work on as they are practically virus proof as you cannot load viruses in the normal manner and therefore are more secure

Pip that's why I got this, and currently using this on my Chromebook, I've removed MN from my iphone until MN tells me otherwise.

If you hack Chromebook, google will give you £100,000

Running slow for me, too, and I've had lots of porn pop-ups in the last few days when clicking on 'active' or 'I'm on'.

Mine was secure until yesterday, today I am getting the logo. On reading up on it, my findings are showing this site is not secure at all.

Same here OP

I'm using Firefox on my laptop and it's been slow for days

I didn't notice the little 'i' symbol next to the address bar, that says it's insecure Shock

I'm Chrome on a laptop and also have the "site not secure" sign ahead of the url. I hadn't actually noticed before this thread, so thank you. It is a tad worrying.

Although going through the multiple tabs I have open - twitter is secure, the Telegraph is secure, Google is secure. BBC News and Mumsnet are not secure. Weird.

Hi everyone. Apologies for the slowness of the site. Tech are looking into this, and there's a thread up on site stuff - we will keep you updated over there: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/site_stuff/2820318-Why-is-MN-so-slow

As for the concerns that the site might not be secure, thanks for flagging this. We have passed onto tech who have assured us all is fine - the part of the site where you enter your password and user info has been upgraded to https and is secure. Phew.

Is slowness a sign of not being secure?

I've logged out completey closed the tab down, opened a new one and put mumsnet in my search engine and logged in that way, still showing as insecure

I'm on the mobile site and had to relogin earlier, normally just logged in automatically and yes painfully slow.
