Aibu to ask what the hell it is and why the hell anyone would wear a perfume that smells like a sanitary pad? And why would anyone manufacture a perfume that smells like a sanitary pad? Confused

Are you sure it's not actually a pad?

Yes - I think you are being unreasonable. And really rude, actually

No...she's been smelling the same for the past 2 weeks now. Whenever I walk by or she brushes past me. She wouldn't be on a period for 2 weeks.

Why am I being rude? I'm just asking why someone would sell a scent that's the same as a sanitary pad?

I need to know what perfume this is so I can avoid it!

My periods sometimes last 2 weeks....

So therefore yanbu to ask. Pretend you like it and that's why you want to know.

She could be on her peiod for two weeks though. She may have irregular periods, or be wearing pantyliners? As a pp said YABU and quite rude

Santiary towels are scented? What the shit is going on with the world? God forbid a woman shouldn't smell like a rose when she's menstruating.

Also, how closely are you sniffing these pads to know exactly how they smell?

Also, yes to Caffeine my periods can last for well over a fortnight. I'd be gutted if some shite came on here and commented on them.

You don't need to sniff them as soon as you open the box anyone withing a 100m radius will be hit by the smell

It's a PG product, so they possibly use a similar scent for another of their products, eg Lenor.

CaffeineBomb · 17/08/2016 22:16

You are being rude as YABU to want to ask her why the hell anybody would want to smell like a sanitary pad, she may not want to smell like them, she may have health issues and actually be wearing pads due to that

P&G

It's not rude! It is definitely NOT the smell of her wearing a pad because we work in a smelly environment and she's wearing Protective clothing on top so the scent comes from her neck/hair.

Rude? Really? It would be rude if she said this to the lady at her work..but she's not is she? She's saying it anonymously to complete strangers so can't see what's rude about it?

I wear the same pads and NO ONE can smell them on you...I've asked my dh many times. This is a perfume she's wearing. Stop taking offense about things that don't even apply to you..I NEVER know when another woman is on her period and certainly wouldn't post on here about it if I did know; what would be the point? Confused

I wear sanitary towels every day, whether or not I'm on my period

I bought some conditioner from Aldi a few months ago that I was convinced smelled like a sanitary waste bin.
Ask her where she shops.

Depends who you're asking.

If you plan to ask the woman in question, yes, you'd be extremely rude.

I don't have a clue what the Always sanitary pad smells like. Is it so very different from other sanitary protection (which I wasn't aware even had a smell)??

That's very bad for you if the super absorbent ones. They strip all the natural moisture out and you'll end up with infections.
