So I've heard it's a thing (started by kylie Jenner Blush) in America now to write about what you put in your 'ramen'. As far as I can tell, Ramen to Americans is supernoodles to the Brits.

I fucking love supernoodles. And I've just come up with the most beautiful combination.

So I'm a few glasses of wine down, and put myself a chicken Kiev and chips on (classy). When the chips come out, I realise they're crinkle cut. I have some weird aversion to crinkle cut chips dating back to childhood when I threw up in a friends mums car (the shame! She forced me to eat them though so whatever).

Anyway, I'm upstairs disappointed that I'm going to have to attempt to stomach these inferior chips as I have no other carb based objects to accompany my Kiev. Suddenly, I remember the noodles! Yes, I think - I've found my perfect pairing.

But then, when everything's ready I take the Kiev/ chips combo out of the oven, and thought I better give one a try, to test the decade long aversion. By golly, the chip is beautiful.

But what to do? I'm tipsy, and I'm faced with two wonderful carbohydrate options.

I'm sure you can guess by now what I did. I chopped the chips into small bits and smothered them in balsamic (no malt but I'd actually recommend this), garlic salt and pepper, the chicken Kiev got similar chopping, I chucked it all into the noodles (along with the seeping garlic butter), a tin of sweetcorn, plenty of grated cheddar mixed in with lots on top too. and extra pepper.

Disgusting and decadent? Yes. Best meal I've ever had? Definitely in the top 10.

If you're a fellow supernoodle lover, please follow in the great KJ's footsteps and share your best recipes Grin

I am not a fan of super noodles but eat the other packet noodles. I cook in the microwave and then add chopped crab sticks. Really easy and quick.

If you accidentally drop some cooked supernoodles on a white worktop it leaves a luminous lime green stain that even bleach won't remove. It can't be wise to be eating that shit can it? Shock

ABloodyDifficultWomen, way to live up to your name. GTFO the thread with that supernoodle hating shpiel Angry I'm actually putting together a petition for supernoodles to become the 6th main essential food group.

Love chicken super noodles in a sandwich. Double carbs all the way. I can only eat this when Dh is out though as he insists its not 'real food' what does he know!

I do love a supernoodle though. I still remember the first time I ever tried them, at a friend's house when I was about 13. I couldn't believe how nice they were.

I flipping love super noodles! Have got back into them recently (not good) I love frying chopped leek and chopped chicken thigh fillets in butter and then adding the noodles and cooking it all up before serving with grated cheese on top. Then I leave until fully melted then EAT

Super noodles. Toast. Must be white, must be buttered. Tin of sweetcorn. Chopped up hot dogs. Cheese. None of your gourmet shit, plastic crappy cheese.

The layering goes thus...
Buttered toast, then half the noodle, hot dog, sweetcorn mix. Slice o' plastic cheese, rest of noodle mix on top. Drizzle with salad cream.

I've been on a diet for exactly one day. I would rip my own arm off to eat this right now...

Here are the noodles of my choice Grin.

I love them in their soup with a couple of grilled frankfurters, a fried egg, crispy round the edges with a runny yolk and some Chinese greens. Unfortunately I didn't have the frankfurters when I took the photo. Fried luncheon meat or grilled gyoza dumplings would be an adequate substitute.

My 15 yo DS loves curry super noodles topped with those KFC-a-like chicken bites from tesco.

In our courting days, DH made us a sharing bowl of super noodles (mixed flavours, natch) with slices of cheap white bread and butter to dunk in to eat in bed. I was very impressed, but then we were only 20 at the time. Grin

Supernoodles are the false god! The one true way is KOKA INSTANT NOODLES (available from all good corner shops)

The way most pleasing to the great KOKA is to pour over boiling water, leave for three minutes, strain and then add three quarters of the flavour sachet dry, ignoring packet instructions (this is important). Sprinkle with balsamic vinegar and add chopped, microwaved southern-style quorn burgers.

It's my signature dish. If I was on Come Dine With Me, it's what I would serve, and I would WIN.

Mild curry super noodles with sweet corn mixed in, grated cheese on top all melty and cool original Doritos to scoop them up with were my hangover cure at uni. If my old housemates are reading this I am totally outed. That and a Dr Pepper Grin

I became fond of these when I had a bizarre stomach bug. American friend told me if you can't keep anything down, try these. I thought he was crazy but he was right!

I don't eat them generally as I dint find them filling but oddly nice. But where has steak and ale flavour gone, that was the on,y one I liked. Well regular beef flavour is okay.

+1 for Nissin Demae Ramen. They're so much better. Prefer mine with a boiled egg but you can crack an egg into the water while the noodles are boiling and it'll poach just fine.
