Not an AIBU cos really the title says it all. At massive local pool with group of five girls aged 10/11. Luckily they were showering in different area, I was waiting at lockers for them to come back and get changed. Bloke in the shower, nonchalantly steps out of his trunks and made big show of rinsing them out. I did a double take, then the slow burn whilst my brain tried to process what i was seeing Shock Angry . I nabbed a passing lifeguard and said "look!!!!" He was (after getting dressed) frogmarched out and told if he came back in they'd get police involved. Creep. My group of girls saw nothing but that was more luck than anything. shudders

What a nob! Literally.

Well if the "big show" was actually "look at my cock" then I can see the problem.

But being nude in a shower isn't a problem in itself. Indeed, it's normal.

Not normal in the communal showers with kids about.

God its just nudity.

I assume he wasn't walking around standing to attention?

Being naked in front of pre teen or adolescent children of the opposite sex? That's normal is it?

Naked showering yes I get that, naked PUBLIC showering, nah I'm not so accepting of that. Deliberate exhibitionism for some pathetic sexual frisson imo.

Crikey do some folk really think it's ok? A naked man, sans erection, but still...

Did they have a sign up saying no nudity?

I feel there may have been some sort of cultural misunderstanding perhaps.

I suppose it depends on the layout.

I can think of one pool where it's pretty much open to the whole pool, so I suppose people wouldn't there. Others are more enclosed.

But it's just washing/rinsing.

Most pools have single sex or cubicle changing as well, so I suppose that's an option for those who object to nudity even in a place where changing to the skin (with or without) shower is the purpose of the place.

I suppose he could have been Scandinavian - there are some places where public nudity at the swimming pool or sauna is just no big deal at all.

It's a communal shower. Didn't you expect there.might be naked people showering?

Did he seem remotely put out by being marched off the premises?

and wanting to shower naked in public is what would worry me. A flash of accidental nudity whilst changing in a communal area is one thing someone who is I assume doing it deliberately for the kicks is very suspect. I can't imagine taking my swimsuit off and showering in front of a load of teenage boys at our local pool and for people to be saying "oh but its only nudity".

Maybe if you live in a country where unisex showering naked is the norm, but you can;t pretend it is here.

Not cultural, his accent was as Scottish as mine Smile . No signs up regarding nudity, but again. there arent any signs up to say dont do a number two in the showers and folk manage fine to wait till they go to a toilet!

Had this at our local pool in the family changing rooms and strangely enough I don't want my 4 year old seeing some random knob. Complained and the bloke was banned as he'd been warned about it before.

and a quick glance around at everyone else before stripping his keks off might have given him a clue - if we're really going to pretend that he wasn't doing it for the thrill.

Good lord, bit of OTT hand-wringing going on here. Maybe it is, as a PP suggests, a cultural misunderstanding. If you've ever been to a pool/spa in much of CE Europe I think you may well be mind-blown. Bodies in the buff everywhere (though sadly all too few actually 'buff')

Yes, perhaps he should have looked around to see what the rest of the changing room we're doing, but I find it sad that the first reaction seems to be "what a perve" rather than anything else.

Someone naked isn't something sexual. Its just the human body.

hjwhjw, given your current thread I'm not sure you're best placed to comment on naked men.
