Christmas

So what are your 7-8yo girls asking for this year?

DD is 7, she's a bit of a tomboy in her tastes (i hate that word, but you know what i mean by it) and definitely not a princess kind of girl. She doesn't do jewellery, princess dresses or makeup

She did halloween dressed as the Transformer Bumblebee amongst her gaggle of Elsas and pink witches..

She loves the lego movie, bikes, scooters..etc. She loves Pokemon, Minecraft and My Little Pony.

She wants a hatchimal, but i am not paying that much for something!

I feel a bit at a loss of what to get her.

My 8 year old has also mentioned a Hatchimal. The rest of the things she wants are what I'd call tat...
Cupcake surprise dolls
Num noms
Twozies
Shoppies
That kind of thing.

I'm thinking about getting her a hairdryer or crimper and brush set in a nice bag. She likes doing her own hair.
I've also got her a tablet of her own.

DD1 is about to turn 7 and I'm at a bit of a loss too. For her birthday she's getting a cheap verison of an ipod and some speakers.

She quite likes detailled colouring books. But feel there's not much in the way of toys she's really into at the moment. She's past the princess stage and not into pokemon or minecraft.

I've got some book sets for her as she's just got into reading chapter books, but it's a slightly dull present.

Am following for ideas.

A hatchimal or cash for the sales. She's a mercenary bugger.

Nintendo are bringing out on the 11th November a Nintendo Mini game, around £49.99, all the old classics on it, Mario etc, my daughter wants one, she is 26 years old lol, we used to play the original together when she was wee along with her brother and sister.

Lol, Honey, i used to do that, but we weren't allowed to get our mitts on the actual cash until we were teenagers, before then, mum used to just say you have £x to spend, tell me what you want.

We used to get to go shopping for it, then it would be wrapped and put under the tree.

DD still believes in FC, so we can't do that yet.

My 8 year old is getting minecraft lego ( first night and The farm),
DC superhero girls- barbie size dolls of wonder woman, Supergirl etc - one of them is a bumble bee, they also do plastic action figures of them.
She's asked for a hatchimal but she's not getting one as she dosent play with the furby she pestered for last year .
I'm not getting loads this year as she just doesn't play with it. I may get her some build a bear outfits as she does still play with them.

Books, audio CDs, ballet DVD, renewed Aquila subscription, more books and a new dress. I need to think of some other stuff, too, as I've already got tons for her sister (who is much easier to buy for).

I would definitely recommend the Zita spacegirl graphic novels - there are 3 and my lego/bike/ studio Ghibli fan DD loves them so do I.

Think I got them from Book Depository but they're on Amazon too.

DD just had a desk for her birthday which has proved really popular. We also got a clock at the same time & she loves sitting at her desk for 15 mins after bedtime drawing or writing & then telling the time herself to know when to go to bed. I think it makes her feel really grown up.
The other hit was a John Adams circuit set. I quite like it too!
I know they're not related to what you suggested but I decided DD's lists had got a bit repetitive. Obviously the desk is a dependent on space!
