I had the perfect gift picked out for DH and was going to order it today but when I checked our joint email account he's already gone and bought it for himself with his wage bonus. Urgh. So now, I'm clueless as what to get him.

What are you getting your partners? Or are you as stumped as I am? Grin

A lottery ticket, all our money is spoken for with the kids and as adults we have no real need for presents.

As we have so many people to buy for, we tend to stick to smallish stocking filler type gifts like DVDs, alcohol, gadgets etc

We always buy each other one present and two homemade, thoughtful ones (which will be his favourite chocolate fudge, a message in a bottle :) )

Some years we tend to buy something together for the house and give it as our present to each other. We are doing this this year as we really want to buy a music system for the house. So I'll probably just get some little stocking filler-type things and a present from the DC there's something under the tree for him!

It is his birthday in a couple of weeks though and I'm stumped! Could I ask what your pefect gift that you had picked out was, just in case it inspires me?

Mine will probably want a new ps4 game and some books. I usually get him a jokey present as well... Last year he got a personalised cheesy cliff Richard mug with it signed to "sexy bum love from cliff". We tend to have a lot of naff mugs and it's become sort of a running joke (he got me an "I love zayn" one, from one direction - I hate them).

I think amazon vouchers and nice aftershave are good where all else fails.

It was a First Edition Bram Stoker book.

Our stoking fillers are highly on the risque side and are opened Christmas night Wink Grin

We don't want or need anything and don't have a lot of money spare so last year we each went to the pound shop and spent £10, gift wrapped each item and put them in a gift bag.

I got sweets, chocolate, shower gel, hand cream, aussie hair repair, nivea soft, pack of two plain cavnvases, pack of paint brushes, marshmallows and bulbs for the garden. Grin

We don't usually have much to spare but we always put money aside for gifts throughout the year. And I know us adults don't need presents but I like getting DH something and seeing his face light up Blush

The family either get vouchers or little homemade gifts made by us & the DC :)

I have bought DP lots of random things from coke bottle with her name on, scarfs, sweets, bracelet with her childrens names on and am looking at the Amazon fire tv that comes out later this month so she can watch netflix and amzon prime on tv in bed rather than laptop.

The DC are cheapsakes this year; asked them what they wanted to get DH for Christmas. And they wanted to make a t-shirt for him! - They're 6 and under... Grin

So I've found a cool idea on pinterest called a massage t-shirt which looks good.

I was going to get him a new motorbike helmet but couldn't be bothered to pick one out for his finicky tastes. Grin

So far I've got DH:

  • a Cookie Monster onesie
  • a T-Rex mug (the dinosaur not the band)
  • the Google Cardboard thingy
  • a Kobo voucher

I need to get socks, new Converse, and the posh beard oil he likes which costs a fortune but lasts him most of the year (presents he gets every year). And chocolate of course! I was looking at a Hug Box.
