I bought the Santa Woodland one 3 years ago, we've kept all the pieces and the box intact and have reused it twice, it'll come out again this year, great value for money. You get so many little pieces within the 24 windows. Set up was a bit of a mare though, I wouldn't recommend trying to put it together at midnight on the 30th Nov after 3 glasses of wine. I was nearly reduced to tears of exhaustion!

As with all PM stuff - watch the little pieces with LO and the vacuum!

Sadly DS has moved on from wanting a new playmobile calendar (I haven't), so this year it's a festive Lego Star Wars advent, with Darth Vader no doubt spreading the message of the true meaning of Christmas. Grin

Got one for DD from ELC with their 20% off voucher. Wanted one last year but she was too tiny. Can't wait!

I read somewhere on MN earlier that a Playmobil advent calendar (I don't know which one) was reduced to £9.99 in TK Maxx.

They were heavily reduced in Hamley's in December last year, but DH wouldn't let me buy one then. Now, of course, he is very excited about opening it with DD.

Toys'r'us have a deal on at the moment. If you spend £45 on playmobil you get the advent calendar free.

Oh that looks gorgeous. We had the woodland one last year. We were thinking police for DS1 this year, but the post office one is lovely

what age would you say the playmobil ones were suitable for? I was thinking about getting one for DS (3.4 at xmas) but wasn't sure

They are brilliant. My dd still loves them and she is 12!
The pony ranch one is funny, one of the days has little brown plastic horse shite on offer. Very festive!

My DS was nearly four last year and he loved it. I think a 3.4 would just about be old enough, but only just

I've got the knights one for DS(2.10) and the post office one for DD (13 and very excited!). It's the first time I've bought them one, and I can't wait.

We've got an xmas festive village one which we've used for 6 years Shock but the boxes are getting a bit tatty, (we also have the knight one and a woodland one and another one but I can't remember what theme that is Blush ) but we're having a rest from playmobil this year and have the lego starwars one

So much for value for money, I love buying them!

My mum bought DD the xmas one last year, but the scene all got battered, and it got mixed in with her normal playmobil, so not getting any more years from it!

We get a new one every year. Not sure which one to get this year. Last year we had the woodland one and thought it was a bit dull. The year before we had the police one - fab for making up random stories and posting the latest on MN!

We have the Dino one. It was a gift for DS who is three and a half, from his older bother.

He will love it, but I'm already going cross-eyed because of the wrongness Grin.

There are people in the Playmobil Dinosaur Age. Very technologically advanced people, who own motorbikes and radios.

I've reconciled myself to this by imagining a Jurassic Park type scenario.

There is a nod to the Christmas story, with the hatching of a tiny baby dinosaur from an egg on Christmas Eve. Grin

Thatlldopig- I noticed last week that the horse shit is actually the same as the chocolate ice cream on the ice-cream seller!

Did anyone with the woodland one notice that the Santa looked like Damon Hill

We're getting the Post Office one this year too. We had the woodland one last year, and the police the year before. I think the reindeer-pulled sledge in the Post Office one looks particularly good! Smile

This is the Dinosaur Advent Calendar Moln .

Apparently it was free when my step-son spent a certain amount on Playmobil, so my 3 year old is also getting the Playmobil Ark.

I'm very excited Grin.

We have Lego calendars for the others. The Star Wars one has Yoda in a Christmas hat!
