seriously. i'm watching it now for work and it is terribly upsetting. Claire Verity says 'i'm a bitch, i'm mean to them but it works', no touching, no eye contact, lots of talking about 'baby', presumably because she can't be arsed remembering the name... oh it's AWFUL.

supposedly. it's genuinely upsetting, those poor parents, it's all being ruined for them. lol, the baby's big sister is now complaining that she isn't allowed to have a cuddle and saying it's wrong.
'i don't understand why anyone wants to pick up a baby. a baby wants to be left alone to grow'. oh lordy lord.

it's a face-off between Truby king's methods (claire verity as mentor) and dr spock and continuum methods (with other mentors). utterly bogus and you've got to ask why the hell parents would sign up for this. the other two seem reasonable enough. DH is watching it too, he is wanting to put the boot through the tv.

I'd like to ask who would want to make a programme like this?
Why?
SOme people will do anything to get on TV. It sounds sick and I won't be watching.
"Feed your baby on a strict four hour feeding schedule the moment they get out of hospital. She says, The key to a happy baby is food. The mistake most mums make is that they dont feed their babies enough.
There must be a strict routine. Babies must be in bed by 7pm every evening.
Babies should sleep in their own cots.
Only one nighttime feed is allowed.
Babies are started on solids at 17 weeks.
The bit that disturbs me the most, however, is this excerpt:
Cuddles are also restricted. Claire says too much fuss can make a baby crave attention.
Imagine having a dog with a ball and you keep throwing it for them. Then all of a sudden you stop and walk away and they dont understand.
It will think: Why have you stopped playing with me? It will start barking, dropping the ball at your feet and annoying you.
Its the same with a baby. If a babys picked up for half an hour, cuddled and then put down, it will get upset."
oh I can barely wait. <lying>
think will give it a miss!

'look at her, she's tiny. how can you let somethign this small control your life, it's crazy.'
babies only cry cos they're tired or for attention-seeking, best thing to do is ignore them. she is VILE. and for this she gets paid a grand a day.
Truby King???
you have to be shitting me?

Sometimes things come up that look ok but I can never be bothered.
Tv is broken anyway.Kids appear to have ripped some leads out of the back and I have no idea where they are supposed to go.
