I thought you were going to ask why they are building a minimalist, concrete cube house on a perfectly nice garden in Brixton.

And why they keep whining about having no money Hmm

If ever there was a couple I wanted to get pregnant in the middle of a build, it's these. Can you imagine the turmoil of your perfect concrete and chipboard interior being sullied with crates of peppa pig and fireman Sam plastic tat...

How do you clean all that glass?

Report
Aboutlastnight · 26/09/2012 21:34

She would be a 'wooden toys only' mum - until one is lobbed at the glass wall...

I hated that bloody MDF barn.

MousyMouse · 26/09/2012 21:40

Barn did look like a camping barn. This house I think looks awful against the other houses, too much of a visual shock and so imposing.

How well does crayon work on plywood? Very effective I should think.

Lovescourgettes · 26/09/2012 21:45

This house leaves me cold I am afraid, totally lacking in any warmth or atmosphere and the chipboard just looks really scratchy and uncomfy...

MousyMouse · 26/09/2012 21:48

it does look out of place.

I doubt they give a flying triple glazed panel what us petit bourgeoisie think of their harsh chipboard. They're designers, dahhhhhling. Artists.

[secretly wish I could be that different]

I can't believe they managed to sell the barn & who has 4 beds in a bedroom?!?

Report
kellestar · 26/09/2012 21:53

my DD would love to paint on those walls. it's a toddlers dream, the sticky finger prints, mushy pea's on the ceiling, pee stains on the concrete.

Ive decided I don't like minimalism.

Report
HazeltheMcWitch · 26/09/2012 21:56

But whyyyy were there 4 single beds in one room in the Norfolk barn?
What did they do in there? And is that linked to wanting to live in a big glass box in Brixton?

Mark my words, the one concession to non-minalism will be a giant pampas grass, which will be revealed in the closing short (maybe).
