Marking my place

Lndnmummy · 12/08/2016 20:42

Oh me too, I seem to have 12 orangey-red-coral glossy lipstick. HOW?! Who does that?!

I have 7 nude pink/beige nail polishes. Why do I do this

kwick · 12/08/2016 20:43

Placeholding... Beside me is a whole pile of cosmetics!

AnotherPinkiePieStory · 12/08/2016 20:56

Thank you all so much for support. While I don't know much about the immediate future, I do know I have a lot of stuff. The nurses have even commented on it!
Yes madam I have brought 3 eyeshadow pallets and a sheet mask, why do you ask?

Ememem84 · 12/08/2016 21:38

Place marking. So far on holiday list of use ups have used up a travel size deodorant and have used a magazine sample of moisturiser.

Yeah!! Working on the rest of the holiday stash.

MrsDilligaf · 13/08/2016 08:24

Kwick I do like the way you finished off the previous thread. Most definitely in keeping with the ethos of the thread Grin

I tidied out the cupboard of doom yesterday. Foolishly I signed up to a three year subscription to Marie Claire for the princely up front price of £24.00. The problems with this are:

A) I have a six month old who barely allows me to have a coffee in peace let alone flick through a magazine.

B) I must get about 3 sachets per mag. My sachet stash is ever-growing.

C) On the rare occasion I do have a flick all I see is beautiful things I absolutely must have, and of course I definitely don't need them given the size of my stash!

I do love a sachet though....

kwick · 13/08/2016 09:05

Why thank you mrs we aim to please Wink

Hmm I did not realise that when you subscribe to mags you still get the "freebies"... May have to consider getting a subscription...

MrsDilligaf · 13/08/2016 11:33

No... no freebies sadly just the sachets they stick on the pages.

I have two subscriptions....Marie Claire and Prima. Prima is my other guilty secret Blush

kwick · 13/08/2016 11:52

Oh I see mrs... I will hold off and getting and subscriptions.

I have an empty: Norfolk Lavender calming bath soak Olive waterlily & lavender flavour - not a big fan of smell. Was a gift.

FrustratedFrugal · 13/08/2016 16:04

MrsD I also get a weekly magazine and at least one sample sachet per week And I don't have time to read it and my skin does not love random stuff.

Haven't finished anything but discovered that the tomato red Kiko lipstick that seemed to make my teeth yellow looks good after a few rounds of Whitestrips. I persisted because the packaging is stunning for a 5€ lippy.

Travel size Molton brown shower gel in ginger likly used up. Yay! One less to carry home!

Fancyasandwichbacon1 · 13/08/2016 23:39

Used up a few here in the last couple of days. Cetaphil cleanser, simple eye make up remover (finally), a raspberry body scrub and a kiko mascara although that wasn't quite used up but had gone clumpy!
Love this thread. It's very satisfying seeing the stash go down a bit!

Fancyasandwichbacon1 · 13/08/2016 23:39

That lipstick packaging does look ace!

StewardsEnquiry · 14/08/2016 10:37

I haven't been on the thread for ages but I have had a couple of empties in the meantime. I was using the Ren cleansing balm but didn't like it. It smells quite strongly of citronella and it stings my eyes. I use a balm cleanser for my first cleanse to get off my mascara so I need to give it a good rub on my lashes so this wasn't good.

I have also been using Ren clay cleanser and I liked this much better. It is marketed for blemish prone skin which my skin certainly isn't but I found it to be really gentle and great for a morning cleanse or a second cleanse.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 14/08/2016 18:30

Ooh shiney new thread.

I was away (parents house) and used up a shampoo/conditioner (OGX small bottles) and a S&G shower scrub.

Got a couple of days left of BodyShop Vit E but too mercanary to pay full price in the shop so I'll order online with the %off emails they send me.

I have two huge showergels that are near the end but I'm not sure if I could mix them together to get rid of a bottle or if it'll ruin them?

DD has a couple of Urban Decay lipsticks - the cases on them are gorgeous and a satisfying "click" to close them.

crookedhooker · 14/08/2016 21:04

Just finished a small tube of Vasanti BrightenUp! was from Birchbox. I adored it but sadly can't justify replacing when I have loads if similar products. Will probably replace at some point though.

woodhill · 14/08/2016 22:49

Used up a Clarins body lotion today so pleased.

noisyrice · 14/08/2016 23:06

Loving the 3rd edition already!

I've used up about 3 shower gels so now I've only got 3 left, but they aren't really something I want to use for the sake of it as they were limited editionBlush

I've stockpiled a hideous amount of Aussie's Beach Mate, and cheap body sprays as it smelt like a perfume I used to have. Ugh, everything is so enticing at the moment!Sad

Ememem84 · 15/08/2016 08:36

Should use up shower gel no 2 today.

Dry shampoo is dwindling. I won't be repurchasing (herbal essences) it doesn't suit my hair. I may ditch it at the end of holidays.

Finishes one of my cleansers. Yay!

MrsDilligaf · 15/08/2016 08:44

It's occurred to me today that I am fighting a losing battle... I've done quite well this year in regards to using stuff up but in four months time I will be back to square 1. My mother will buy me all manner of posh smellies for Christmas! She's not an imaginative present buyer...

Oh well Hmm

But as long as you are not paying out yourself?

I seem to have so many small serums and bits and pieces. I may buy some NO7 creams as I need a new one. I prefer the ones with SPF in them as at least I know I have some sun protection and usually apply another sun cream on top.

Not keen on ones without it and avoid using them.

kwick · 15/08/2016 09:34

mrs if they are unwanted would it be naughty to sell on ebay?

kwick mrs just to let you know you can only sell unopened unused products on eBay.

IPokeBadgers · 15/08/2016 10:42

Yay! A third thread, thanks to MrsD for starting it....I have hardly been online over last few weeks....sodding tablet died and I hate posting from my phone, and haven't got around to replacing the deceased Hudl yet....contemplating a Kindle Fire

In last few days I have finished a tub of Pantene Intensive conditioner....bit of a staple and will probably repurchase at some point in the future but have a John Frieda Blonde one to start into for now.

Have also finished up a Liz Earle C&P Limited edition: Orangeflower and Chamomile....liked this, now moving onto what might be next in the LE box....got at least another 3 C&Ps of various types in the stash.

WellTidy · 15/08/2016 11:52

I have renewed impetus as I am working towards the 13 By Halloween and making decent progress.

My PIL surprised me with a belated birthday present yesterday and it is a selection bag of Occitane shower gels 6 x 75 ml. It is a lovely gift, and I am grateful, but I have been working so diligently through my stash of 20+ random shower gels for months and months, I actually feel quite down. Which is a ridiculous reaction. I had been hoping to finish what I had and then treat myself to the Occitane almond foaming shower oil thing. I know I will never get round to selling them on ebay and I don't want to donate them as they were a thought out gift and they are a lovely quality gift. I am cross with myself for feeling this way about them giving me a lovely thing.

I am now back up to about 14 miniatures of shower gel.

I've used up another miniature shampoo and conditioner (Tresemme).
