Been lusting after a bayswater for ages. But something holding me back, which other bags are classics which wont date....
id buy a cheap one from tkmaxx and then take the bag on a nice holiday with the rest.

Balenciaga all the way
The bench crew will turn up soon though telling you to donate it all to charity and use a Tesco bag.

Mulberry are fab. The packaging is simply gorgeous. If u can afford it go for it as u won't be disappointed. Online shop is excellent. I've even put their bags hung on our bedroom wall. Look very pretty. That's before u even get to the actual purchased item!!!
Otherwise I'd only buy from Gucci or Louis v personally having visited both in Italy. Those shops make an effort on u. Most really don't care if ur a normal person. And that's not fun. A purchase this big should make u feel special. Mulberry did for me!

The price varies, by the way, depending on the fabric/leather. From £805 up to £1300.

No but they might tell her to get a kipling and an iPad mini

I think they all date, to be honest.
But I'd get an Alexa.
I like this Mark Jacobs too.

No bag is worth £800, are you mad? Are they magic bags or something?
why why why? Its a bag ffs. You can get gorgeous leather well made pretty bags for a fraction of that.
Honestly. Give your money to the poor if youre that desperate to burn it

it really depends on your style - do you need to wear formal clothes for work for instance? Or do you mostly wear jeans? I think that would make a big difference...

£800 is a terrible waste of money on a bag.
I'd much rather have shoes

I really like some of those options, especially the Marc by Marc Jacobs. Thanks ladies (shamelessly making the most of other peoples' efforts).

£800? I'd spend £50 on the bag and spend the rest on lovely hand dyed wool and needles.

I'd assume any £800 bag would last well - but I've had £800 clothes that definitely didn't, so maybe not! I'm going to second Mulberry because their bags are extremely fabulous and mine have always withstood years & years of severe abuse. Like all the best leather good they even improve with age. (Well, as long as you clean them occasionally.)
