Hello all!

Cake - come back we neeeeeed you to tell us about your holiday....

Great title!

My weekend purchases were oh so wise but not even slightly avid. I got this jacket and these shoes to encourage me to cycle more over the winter. It was that jacket or FIL suggestion of a hi-vis biscuit

Have added a pic to my profile of fc dress with black shoes - they are a PITA to walk in but how I do love them.

Esher that temperley dress is gorgeous!

I can still drink coffee on dukan can't I? That may be the deal-breaker.

Fleecy Mon 06-Sep-10 21:17:51

Evening!

Haven't had time to catch up properly(again!) as busy working in run-up to holiday tomorrow.

No capsule wardrobe here! Have packed 4x dresses, 4x shorts, black, white, navy and nude vests, a couple of scarves, a strapless jumpsuit, 2x sandals, flip flops, 4x bikinis, 2x swimsuits plus an outfit for SIL's wedding. And am wearing jeans, vest, linen jacket, scarf and tan wedges to get there. Still, everything packs up pretty small so it doesn't actually take up much room. We have 20kg each and the heaviest case is 16kg, with the rest coming in around 12kg!

tracey I did Dukan for a while and I made my galette with mixed spice or cinnamon instead of any sweetener, then ate it with plan yogurt. Was okay that way.

What time are we meeting on 16th?

Taking laptop with us on hols but can't imagine I'll be around much over the next few weeks so bye all and have a good fortnight!

Happily - you look fab - what a great photo. Shoes are gorgeous and look really good with the blue dress & tights. Me likey!

DolceeBanana Mon 06-Sep-10 21:24:22

Hiya!

Yes, DS had good first day at school - he said he was going to kiss his Teacher, so that's good! Looked so smart I had a tear in my eye...but not wanting to look a complete wet I managed to hold it together somehow! Also, 3 year old DD running around screaming and doing ballet 'moves' somewhat lightened the moment!

Love the Kew dress - it's in my basket...have been umming and ahhing over it!

Dukan is great...coffee is allowed....Dukan makes you feel crap for first few days (so much so in my case that I almost caved in), however, after the attack phase I found it really sensible...I feel leaner generally, as well as slimmer, and hey guys have managed to get my wedding dress on again...DH v pleased. I got married 15 years ago and was about the same as I am now...but boobs were clearly bigger then as the ahem, bust area is slightly too big! Yeah, have changed shape forever.....

Cows chasing you must have been very scary Bloss...love the Cameron...chic and practical...Barbour can do no wrong this year, eh?

Hope your coat turns up tomorrow Tracey...and bugger that miserable old woman selling you £££s worth of school kit....she should have been v appreciative...so annoying people like that!

Right, off for shower...DD starts pre-school tomorrow...awwww.....so early start again after those lovely leisurely mornings!

Oh, Temperley dress divine

Fleecy Mon 06-Sep-10 21:25:34

Oh happily just catching up (on this thread anyway blush) and I love it. Works really well and you do indeed look happy.

DolceeBanana Mon 06-Sep-10 21:26:08

blossoming Mon 06-Sep-10 21:31:46

fleecy, have a great holiday. Meet up is at 2 pm I think.
Thanks for all your concern re cows. I need a London fix!! I'll be there on the 18th Sep to get myself in order before the Big 40.

rufus, those jeggings are divine.

eshermummy Mon 06-Sep-10 21:32:21

Have a great hols Fleecy

Fleecy Mon 06-Sep-10 21:36:25

Thanks bloss I'll book my train ticket before they put the price up!

And thanks for your happy hols wishes. We haven't been away for 2yrs and that was just a city break so it's long overdue.

Enjoy your holiday fleecy!

Gorgeous photo on your profile happily. I think it's great that you have photos together with your DH in your going out outfits. Also love the WC dress. Will be great with boots.

notyummy - Thanks for starting new thread (again!) Love the new title although I have nothing to share at the moment. Received H&M delivery today but will send back as not even the T-shirts fitted properly.

nancydrewrocked Mon 06-Sep-10 21:49:41

First post on this thread as haven't been shopping in ages due to early pregnancy, everything looks rubbish syndrome.

Anyway bought these fab shoes today photo doesn't do justice

They are actually pale grey patent, really comfortable and look great with skinny skinnies.

RedBlueRed Mon 06-Sep-10 21:57:45

Happily, I have a pair of SPDs you could have had, I never got on with them and the last time I wore them I couldn't wear skirts for about 6 months due to the appalling gravel rash scarring all over my knees and shins. blush Love the dress and shoes.

Esher that Temperley dress is stunning!

Well I have ordered my Next lace up boots but am prepared to take them back depending on how they look in the flesh. The two pictures on their site are completely different and I drew a blank trying to find them in stores on Saturday.

The downside is that my confirmation email says they will be sent out in 1 - 2 weeks which is frustrating, I'm all for instant gratification. grin

DS and I have started running in the evenings - we are following a run/walk programme from the Bupa website - he needs to improve his stamina and I need to burn fat so I thought this would be good for both of us. I'm desperate to get down to a 10 or smaller by Christmas. At least time is on my side even if will power isn't!

Welcome back from hols everyone.
Have a lovely break Fleecy

Great shoes NancyDrew, love grey with other shades of grey.

Yes to coffee. Which is great. It is the easiest diet I have used. (well I didn't need to diet pre-dc). But anyway after attack bit it's pretty easy although sheesh at amount if eggs and tuna I eat. But I tried on a size 2 dress the other day and it fit. Ok it just meets under bust my smallest part but still! Anyway it's just good not to worry about food intake anymore.

RedBlueRed Mon 06-Sep-10 21:59:40

6 weeks. It did fade.

RedBlueRed Mon 06-Sep-10 22:02:29

Nice shoes Nancy!

notyummy Mon 06-Sep-10 22:07:39

Liking those shoes Nancy - and the ones you are wearing in your photo Happily.

Have a great holiday fleecy.

Thankfully coffee allowed on Dukan. My headache was bad enough without caffeine withdrawal as well grin. Now it all behind me, I can see muskeg doing it again at some point if weight was to ever creep up again. Things I missed most were veg, fruit and cheese. Nit actually biscuits /cake. Am also now much more mindful about the amount of carbs' I am eating. I also weighed rice or pasta if we had eat, but am now eating much less bread.

monkeysmama Mon 06-Sep-10 22:08:17

Good evening

Thanks for starting anew thread Yummy

Esher thanks for the reassurance. What were people wearing in the evening? I am of course never knowingly underdressed grin and have far too much stuff to take with me atm.

Off to bed - feeling rough again. I was planning on starting a few days of Dukan tomorrow but think I might have to see how it goes.

notyummy Mon 06-Sep-10 22:11:22

Sorry about all typos- combination of iPhone znd trying to read the subtitles of Wallander as well as typing!

Marsha- do you mean a US 2- I.e a size 6? You must be teeny!

eshermummy Mon 06-Sep-10 22:13:26

Cain - are you doing the 0-5k plan ? I printed it off at the beginning of the summer but didn't get around to starting but am hoping to do it on treadmill at gym (as part of larger workout) as soon as dd2 back at nursery (still 2 blardy weeks).

envy at Marsha in her size 2 dress. It was the fact that I couldn't get into my size 2 lbd on the last day of hols that finally tipped me over the edge (is a generous 2 to be fair). It actually fits fine above waist, or at least it would if I could get it over my hips........blush

Thoughts on these 2 bags please. I want something that can be worn across the body but not a satchel/alexa-alike. More of a structured ladylike bag iykwim. Plus don't want to spend too much, although must be leather. I just can't do plastic bags.

this one

[[www.asos.com/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=1287894 or thing (blingier, but I likey bling grin)]]

MarshaBrady Mon 06-Sep-10 22:15:33

Yes sorry US 2, not that small. I am at a good size for me I think. But it was floaty and just fit under my boobs and am small at that bit. Still it was a surprise!

This thread is too big to accept new messages.
