hi , not posted for a couple weeks but I have an update… Dla responded to our appeal and it wasn’t resolved so now I am waiting for a hearing/tribunal date …. So looks like I have many months longer of waiting and fighting for my son… I don’t know what else I can do at this stage I have sent a few diaries, cover letters , supporting letters from others all outlining the care needs being far greater and giving compassions as well as reports from paeds, salt, eyit and now ref to sleep clinic… I am convinced that it’s purely about them being stubborn about his age as the evidence is clear about higher care needs … congratulations to all of you that was awarded so far and good luck to those still fighting Dla for what is entitled x x

What was your scan date for the MR and how old is your child if u don’t mind me asking ? I’m worried they will do this with my little one due to age x

been watching these threads for a few weeks but thought I would jump on. Woke up yesterday to an unexpected bank payment in my account! Originally applied in April but they said in May they never received it so did the form again (!) and sent it off only to find out they had found the original 🙄. But going off my original scan date it was around last week of April I expect. So about 19-20 weeks. But when I had called (to find out it had been lost) they said they were working on 20-25 weeks at the moment.

in addition to this, please could anyone tell me what I am entitled to via UC? I work part time (school hours) which puts me over Carers allowance but I’m confused re UC… am I entitled to the ‘carer element’ and also the ‘disabled child element’?

does anyone know how much this will be? I think my son was awarded Med red care and possibly low mobility rate (based on amount paid divided by weeks waited) but haven’t had a letter yet so can’t be sure!! But just need to know what to apply for on the UC site.

grateful for any advice, really hope you all get good news soon it was such a stressful few months wait!!!

MR somewhere in beginning of August (lost track now). Long road to go looking forward to Christmas. Probably won’t hear till 2025 😂 x

Might be worth ringing and asking where you are in the queue, I wasnt too far before you and just got my decision yesterday so they may be near a decision x

refused to over turn on 5th September so waiting for hearing date.
he will be 3 on valentines ( autism, global delays 18+ mths , pica , high sensory overload, sleep issues, very clumsy, no danger awareness, 0 clear words with meaning he just screams or hums really )

Mines sd 13/05 not even with dm yet that said my friend sent her child's assessment results a week after her decision was made and her award was changed feom 2 years to 7 years

I've been watching threads for a while :)

SD 10/5 DM just called asking about night needs, I'm sure I freaked and didn't give that much info just that she's up constantly. She said she's waiting to hear back from school and she can decide. New head teacher, 2 new deputys, new SENCO, new class teacher I told her everything should be on file I hope they actually verify everything we've gone through so far. I'm so so anxious I hope I at least get a text 😅😭😅
