Anyone else awaiting results? It's driving me mad with the not knowing! How did other peoples children find it? X

Good luck! Not waiting for results but waiting to see if we have to move into kent (new job) which means my ds will have to sit it next year. Not sure I relish the stress of it all. How did your dc find it?

I know exactly how you feel! My DS's results don't get posted until Friday and knowing our luck they probably won't be delivered until Monday. It's sooooo frustrating.

Hi my dd found it ok. She said some of the timings were abit tight and the spatial awareness was very difficult. She was not tutored, we just gave her a few papers beforehand so she had an idea of how things would look. I thought Kent was the last area for results! Where are you from Sparkles? How awful to have to wait till Monday!!

I'm dreading her disappointment if it doesn't go her way but I am proud she has tried her best. Are GS places limited in T/wells and Tonbridge? Xxx

We are waiting for Bromley (Newstead) today and then Kent tomorrow. We had Bexley result last week. I logged onto Kent admissions last night and there is a shiny new button that says 'assessment test result' - clicking on it then says 'in process' - I will be using that button a lot tomorrow! Good luck everyone.

I noticed that button too!! How did your Dc find the Kent Petts? Xxx

Of the three tests Kent was the worst, mostly down to running out of time. The test also started 40 mins late due to a lot of disorder, Bexley in comparison whilst she found it hard (but passed - yay!) was well ordered so no time for jitters to set in.

I heard about that fiasco Pettswood.

Shocking. I imagine there will be many appeals/complaints. And the cause of the delay in reality leans towards none of those pupils even plan on attending a Kent school.

The boys had no such nonsense.

Good news from Newstead today Smile Wine

Well Done to your DC, Petts!

What do you mean by a lot of disorder? Not local, and have a 17 year old, so just being nosy!

Report
Rivercam · 13/10/2015 18:52

I have two boys in two different Gs, neither of them got in automatically. The first got in on the waiting list, and the second through an appeal, so it is possible ( both Kent gs).

For those needing help, elevenplusexams.co.uk is a great website.

Good luck everyone, I can well remember what is was like.

Wine and Cake to everyone ( obviously alcohol is for parents only)

We're patiently waiting for 4pm tomorrow too (or not if you look at my username which relates to this time 3years ago waiting for my older DC results!) Feels like its been an age since they sat the test! My DC found the spatial awareness part the most difficult too Wrightymama fingers crossed for you and your DC x

Just got the CSSE 11+ results.
My daughter didn't finish the maths so I assumed that she'd have no chance.
Amazingly she got 335.81, based on the last 4 years intake the school we want has eventually offered a place to every girl over 330 so I have my fingers firmly crossed.

Good luck to all waiting, I must admit, I was so certain that she wouldn't pass that I didn't bother to worry about it.

She has started getting messages from friends with massive scores though, I'm not telling her her score as I don't want her to get in to comparisons, fact is it's not certain but it looks pretty good and we'll leave it there!

Hi Leeds, by disorder I should more accurately say disorderly. Some was down to rude parents shoving, some the school not letting parents register until a lot after the start time even though they'd turned up when told and in good time. Lots of queues, not enough toilets for girls at an all boys school etc.

Leeds2 · 13/10/2015 19:30

That sounds awful, Petts. My DC didn't apply to grammar, but the problems round here seem to relate to parking. Or lack of!

Report
Wrightymama · 13/10/2015 19:56

Fingers crossed for you both too solm I'm just hoping the spatial doesn't scupper her chances! Let me know how you get on!

How are the results delivered? Do you get given a score and a pass mark?

Report
SoImpatient80 · 13/10/2015 21:19

KCC send out emails from 4pm tomorrow and all it will say is a simple sentence basically saying *** had been assessed suitable for grammar school if they have passed or assessd suitable for secondary if not (can't remember exact wording sorry! ) Schools have the scores and pass mark and can tell you them if you ask.

Sorry that should say the children's primary schools have the results/pass mark and you can ask them for them.
