Pregnancy

Had 20 week scan today! All looks fine. Good news: I found out the sex. Bad news: I have a low lying placenta

gah at placenta - MW said it may well move but will be scanned again at 32 weeks to check it.

So relieved all looks fine with baby, I was feeling quite anxious this time!

Mama - don't worry about your placenta. Many women's are low lying at 20 weeks, but most budge out of the way by 32. They'll scan you again at 36 if it hasn't at 32 before you go down the CS route.

Congratulations.

It's a boy

I had that too, it moved up just enough to let DD out in the end. I bet you are looking forward to telling Dcs...how lovely to see their excitement.

Congratulations. I have a low lying placenta too (am 24 weeks) but am assuming it will budge out of the way in time. Rescan booked for 36 weeks.

DD is 8 (9 in August) and DS was 4 in March.

DS wanted a boy sooo much, DD said she'd prefer a girl but didn't really mind.

Thanks for info about the low lying placenta, no need to worry I suppose, just hope for hte best!

Well

its a boy and I saw his willy

The DC were delighted, DS was jumping up and down and laughing with pure joy and DD was grinning from ear to ear. She will lose her beloved HUGE attic bedroom to swap for DS's smaller room (but still a double, so not teeny) but she's cool with it - she said its got a bigger window so she can do birdwatching

I had total placenta praevia including bleeds and consultants pronouncing 'oh, that's very unlikely to shift' at this stage with ds2, and by 28 weeks it was completely out of the way

at boy.

Congratulations MamaG, don't panic about low lying placenta yet, plenty of time for it to shift.

Me too, placenta in the way but shifted and I had a boy too!!! Awkward from an early age.

Congratulations!!!!!!

Your other 2 are the same age as my two now, but I have anti e anti bodies, so, as we had one of each decided to take two bricks to DH's wedding tackle!!!

Boys are just lovely, they are so cute and gorgeous and snuggly. Is ds still doing his dance? How sweet DD sounds like a lovely girl too, she will be like a second mother to him.

excellent news!!
