Hi, im 28 weeks gone and tonight have felt very sudden twitches in the lower part of my stomache the baby hasnt moved all day and now i have like period pains (slight worse) in the lower part of my stomach, anyone know what this is?

Could be braxton hicks - I got a lot of that at the bottom and round the sides. If you are concerned about the no movement, ring your local labour ward and have a chat with someone as they may advise you to go in and be monitored and checked out.

I take it that the twitches aren't painful?Could the sudden twitches be your baby hiccuping?
I felt this with both my pregnancy's .
If you have been busy today you may not have noticed the baby moving ,lie down and relax .
The period type pains could just be the ligaments stretching but i would say if they get worse or you are still worried see your midwife .

Oh yes CountToTen it could be braxton hicks!
I never feel them so i never think of them.
Mears is a midwife i think could you shout for her?

I dont think i know mears..the twitches are just like..umm dont know how to describe really...like a small twitch every few minute...not very helpful i know

hi kat, hope everything is ok.
have you tried drinking a big, cold drink and then lying down for a while and waiting for movements?

Hi, It's Kats mum, shes in hospital they're having to do c/s today at 28 weeks shes very worried and scared for the baby.Im going down there soon but last night she wouldn't see anyone!
I'll update when i get home!

Quite an update now...ready for it!?...

All through the pregnancy she was told she was having a baby boy, shes just had a baby girl at exactly 2lb through c/s at 10.41am, shes fine just shocked and crying alot! and baby should be fine aswell! all is really good.Thank you so much for all the support you've given her and reasurrance!
