Recipe of the week

penguinmum's creamy fish pie: smoky, seasonal fish in a creamy white sauce with grated, rather than mashed, tatties on top - a meal of the highest comfort-food order.

April 2007 - The one where we despair about coughs and colds; sickness bugs; cheeky behaviour and the amount of tinsel and fairy lights ALREADY in the shops!!

grin
All is good in da hood wink
that's good runny
yes runny I am with you there, when I go quiet (not very often) is when he needs to worry & hurriedly do something!!!!!!!!!

Glad he has caught up with you and now you can catch up on rest smile

Katy - forget night times for the moment, not sure on the bum thing though hmm and I am not the the mum to be asking about potty training (its my worst nightmare)

dippy - hows things in the dippy household?

sol - hope sleep is getting better

I really don't like December birthdays
This good RH - hope you enjoy smile
SPB - pmsl at T putting his hand up his bumgrin

Thank you ladies for all your advice (mwah to all of you)

Knew that I needed to talk to dh, but needed to get it straight so it wouldn't turn into a argument, iyswim. Anyway, I've been civil and polite, just getting on with things. So last night, we came in from football practice and he asked me what I wanted to do on the weekend. I said what I want to do, and what'll actually happen are 2 things. Then he told me he wasn't going fishing, he will see to the boys in the night, and the morning, so I can catch up on some much needed restshock He also said that he was trying to build bridges with meshock, but smile

So it turns out I don't actually need to shout be heard. Although I do remember saying to dh once that the day I stop getting shouty/angry/upset is the day he should start worrying, because it will mean I don't care. Wonder if he remembers that toohmm
hi SOl
can i ask more potty training questions

I assume it's OK to concentrate on days & assume he'll be in a nappy overnight for a little while longer??

T seems to tell me he needs the potty after he's weed - his pull ups are wet - any magic formula for this?#

(don't read if eating) any way to stop him putting his hand up his bum <bleurgh>
Evening

Bramshott, so sorry to hear about your dh's colleagues baby

Dooby, hope you are ok lovely. xx

SB, don't know how you do it! Hope you are ok.

Runny, a huge hug to you. I too think you need to talk to dh and let him know what's what. It is not fair on you at all. xx

Elkie, hope you are doing ok back at work.

SPB, how is T's tummy now?

Ange, lovely to see you!!!!

Dippy, sounds like you have had a good day

Apologies to those I have missed.

All ok here. Dh has been away since Tuesday in Chile, so it has been the 3 girls. I am kackered. K is still waking at night, and she now has a bloody cough which whilst doesn't bother her, keeps me awake. I feel dizzy with tiredeness. Dh due back Sunday lunch time.

We are not potty training as K is not ready at all. They sit her on the potty at nursery, and she sits on it before bath and squeezes out a fart! But, nothing else produced. Seems odd to me, as B was dry during the day when she was 25 months and it took just a week.
lol at 'the smalls'
Not bad, just been bowling with DH and the smalls. P didn't like the noise; but the rest of us enjoyed it. DD1 and DD2 beat me blush

We need a new thread hmm

Emphasis: To bold a word, surround it with asterisks, so *hello* will display hello. For underline use _ , so _hello_ gives hello. For italics use ^, so ^hello^ gives hello. To strike out a word, surround it with two hyphens either side, so --dog-- gives dog

Links and smileys: To insert a smiley face, , type [smile] or :)
For a big grin, , type [grin] or :o
For a wink, , type [wink]
For a shocked face, , type [shock]
For an angry face, , type [angry]
For an embarrassed face, , type [blush]
For a sad face, , type [sad] or :(
For an envious face, , type [envy]
For a sceptical face, , type [hmm]
For a no comment face, , type [biscuit]

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
