i caught my DD today (13) doing something i am almost ashamed to write. i decided not to change my name - becuase, well.. you would guess by the spelling mistakes, i am almost bside myself.

i walked into the living room and she was watching........Coronation street.

this shock has come only weeks after my DS has become addicted to eastenders whiolst athis girlfriends.

i thought it was bad when he was smoking drugs - but this is almost too much to bare.

can someone help?

The problem is if you come down on themhard and make them go cold turkey by removing TVs they will go elsewhere for a fix.

Custy, how will you cope?

You are so strong to admit to this without a name change, admirable.

One small consolation - it wasn't Hollyoaks.

thanks, hollyoaks should be the comfort - but what i didn't admit was that DS is watching .... god this is so embarassing...footballers wives.

thank god i have still got a son who only watches cow & chicken.

You need to be so careful with your kids these days.

Apparently there is some real hard core stuff on the market now. I hardly dare say ..... videos of the original Crossroads.

Be strong x

"cow & chicken" sorry but it is now a class A programme as the serious side effects of this one have eventualy come to light. I am sorry to be the one to break it to you but they are all involved.

Did you dump them with strangers when they were small?

FrannyandZooey · 09/05/2006 08:27

I don't think you can have eaten only organic food during your pregnancy. I am sorry it has come to this but if you won't heed perfectly sensible guidelines...

anorak · 09/05/2006 08:27

If not you better do the decent thing and dump them with some strangers now.

Custy, it could be worse, it could be scrapheap challenge, this is currently the plague we are enduring. I am also beside myself with anxiety, wondering how the hell it has come to this, I swear I only left the room (Antiques Roadshow) to stir the spaghetti and when I came back the damage was done...
I've just come to terms with the fact, that ds is a........
bloke....

Oh, shit, Custy. This is beyond the pale.

Think you need to seek help. There's already some excellent advice on this thread - but I wonder, have you thought about contacting your HV and asking for her guidance?

Report
WelshBoris · 09/05/2006 09:00

Oh yes Im sure the HV will know what to do
