Recipe of the week

penguinmum's creamy fish pie: smoky, seasonal fish in a creamy white sauce with grated, rather than mashed, tatties on top - a meal of the highest comfort-food order.

As you may know TrinityRhinos dh died in August and a small request to buy some shoes turned into a very loving, giving thread to help Trinity, another Mumsnetter (sleepwhenidie) suggested that maybe we could sort getting TR a present for her and she has been hankering after this coat
for over a year, I started a paypal fund which currently has around £470 in it grin and thought I'd cheekily email Boden to ask for a discount on the coat and this is the most fantastic email reply I received today

'Dear Michelle,

Thanks for getting in touch, Trinity is very fortunate to have such good friends.

We would love to give you this coat for Trinity, plus a £50 Boden gift voucher for each of her daughters and step sons.

Please let me know which size and colour you would like and I'll get the coat ordered for you.

Best wishes
Josie'

How bloody fantastic is that!!![grin
gringrin now means all the money raised can go to TR in vouchers to help try and make this Christmas a little more happy for them all

Yes a web chat with Mr Boden would be a very good quid pro quo for their generosity.

Borntofolk all the basics have been covered - people have sent all kidn of nice things to the family - if you need an address please contact me or Eandh. If not you could always contribute to Eandh's tesco voucher fund for Trinity via Eandh's paypal account.

That's really lovely of Boden. They just want to get all of us (and our kids) Boden-clad from head-to-toe don't they? grin

Can't see Tesco being as generous but I hope so for Trinity's sake.

eandh, you are doing a really lovely thing. I admire you. I got to the original thread a bit late to help but is there anything else Trinity and her family need?
why don't you send them this thread??
Yay for eandh's ingenuity grin
no reply at all from tesco sad however am going to email the PR department there tomorrow to see if that worksgrin

Emphasis: To bold a word, surround it with asterisks, so *hello* will display hello. For underline use _ , so _hello_ gives hello. For italics use ^, so ^hello^ gives hello. To strike out a word, surround it with two hyphens either side, so --dog-- gives dog

Links and smileys: To insert a smiley face, , type [smile] or :)
For a big grin, , type [grin] or :o
For a wink, , type [wink]

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
