prettybird · 21/11/2022 08:08

Hopefully, the one where you get beyond the Weeks 3, 4 and 5 doldrums. Grin And if you don't, then KOKO, drink all the water and maybe post what you've been eating so we can see if there is anything you can tweak. We're all here both to support and be supported.

@FinallyHere will be along shortly to post the link to the Spreadsheet of Fabulousnessf. It truly is fabulous to see the results coming in Smile

Christmas is in 5 weeks time - that's certainly an incentive for me to keep focussed. Xmas Grin

Good Morning @prettybird and thank you for opening the shutters on the new week and for the Bootcamp, generally and severally

Here we go, the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

ZiggZagg · 21/11/2022 08:16

Good morning!

Thank you both for the new thread!

2lbs on for me today, it looked like I'd STS but the scales had a sudden change of heart this morning!

KOKO, more fat, more water!

I'm in court today so will be able to fast until lunchtime today then will have cheese salad sandwich on SLCR with lots of mayo.

Either steak or burgers with FLGV for dinner, don't know what I feel like yet!

comfortablyfrumpy · 21/11/2022 08:20

Morning!

Still here.

After a few weeks plateaued, it is another 1lb off this morning.

I wonder if I can get down to 11st for Christmas?! 6lb to go....

Happy Monday, BCers.

NotDonna · 21/11/2022 08:25

Morning campers! Thanks prettybird and finallyhere it’s so good to have this thread to help keep going. Sorry to hear 2lbs up ziggzagg. I’m a daily weigher and have been static most of the week so made a conscious effort with the water over the weekend and it’s definitely helped get a couple more pounds off. Think it’s 9 since start of this boot camp. I’m a bit of a bugger though as although I’m still doing strict I’ll cheat most days with something or other. A glass of wine, a bite of DDs brownie, a marshmallow, a latte! Only one of those but still 🙄 It seems I’m programmed to ‘treat’! Luckily the weekend of water has washed it away. So this weeks plan is to stay strict, no sneaks, loads of water.

agnesmartin · 21/11/2022 08:57

Morning all!

1.6lb down for me, which just takes me under 14 stone and nearly 10lb off this bootcamp. Very pleased with that. Just had period though so will probably slow down again for the next few weeks but I'll KOKO.

Had a NSV on Thursday. Work day out and I was driving. Lunch was sandwiches and muffins. I wasn't even tempted - knew that they wouldn't fill me up plus they'd make me feel sleepy which I didn't need on the long drive home. I had brought HM rollitos but forgot to take them in with me. So didn't eat very much that day at all, but I wasn't hungry until I got home late, and then I had a picky supper of cheese, ham, salad etc.

I've often had dreams of running a marathon, but I really should just limit my ambitions to 5k - as didn't manage that even when I successfully completed C25K. My 30mins of jogging was more like 3.5km 😳😆

Can't believe this is week 6 already. Thanks everyone for your help and company over the last few weeks!

prettybird · 21/11/2022 09:12

In terms of a challenge this week, I'm going to continue with the "get to bed before midnight" one and the daily act of Christmas preparation. I'm going to add in doing something I've been procrastinating about. There's nothing like ticking off those wee things: it fits a weight off your mind and leaves it clearer to think positively Halo

What's everyone else up to?

Morning lovely bootcampers. 1lb off for me which I am very pleased with as this week has been very up and down on the scales. Takes me to a round 50lb total loss from start which pleases me with its tidiness. My challenge is not to let up now I'm very close to target.
Christmas prep is going well. Self car wise I'm trying to make sur I do my skin care every night. Getting that retinol in.

Last week I gave myself a new rule, if a job will take less than five minutes instead of putting it on a to do list I just do it. So much less mental baggage building up. Also if a piece of paper needs filing instead of putting it in a pile to file I do it straight away.

BIWI · 21/11/2022 10:24

That's a good challenge @ditavonteesed. I have two calls that I need to make - both actually important - and I've been putting them off for a long time. I shall put both of those in my calendar 'to do' this week.

Skiphopbump · 21/11/2022 10:28

A good week here!

I’ve lost 5.2lbs this week, 26.6 lbs in total. My BMI is now below 40 and I’m into the next stone bracket.
Only 1.5lbs to meet my bootcamp goal.

ListenLinda · 21/11/2022 10:41

Hello fellow campers!
still not feeling too great, but it’s been reflected in a 1lb drop on the scales which is good for me!
i’d like another 7lbs by xmas so will keep KOKO and drinking all the water!
it’s my works xmas party this week and I opted for the fish over a roast dinner, so will see what the sides are and probably skip dessert.

NotDonna · 21/11/2022 10:49

I’m having a cooking morning and considering the cheeseburger pie, what do people have with it please? I’ll need to give the kids some carbs with it, does mash work? One of them doesn’t like jackets, weirdo!

prettybird · 21/11/2022 11:13

@NotDonna - chips work with it, especially if you're serving it hot.

I like shoogled sprouts with mine Smile

OP posts:
BIWI · 21/11/2022 11:15

@NotDonna I served it recently, to non-low carb people, and treated it as if were a burger. So I made coleslaw and served fries with it, and some gherkins.

Baystard · 21/11/2022 11:59

Hello everyone. Really enjoying seeing the weights coming in, well done everyone!

I think I'm probably at the stage where in previous bootcamps I've stopped but hoping that by continuing to not-weigh I can get over the mental hurdle and keep going, I don't feel that I'm depriving myself of anything and I'm certain I'm getting better nutrition than when I'm carb binging.

NSV - size 14 trousers horribly baggy and packed away, the same ones in size 12 now comfortable verging on slightly loose, and have now ordered same ones in size 10 to give myself a new goal!

NotDonna · 21/11/2022 13:34

Thank you prettbird and biwi fries it is! I don’t like sprouts although desperate to do a bit if shougling!

NotDonna · 21/11/2022 13:35

@Baystard from a 14 to a 10 in 5 weeks is blooming amazing! Well done you!! 👏🏻

prettybird · 21/11/2022 13:51

Annoyingly, I'm still stuck at 12st 7lb Angry

I'm going to work hard on the water and weigh again tomorrow Wink

I did have wine on on Thursday & Friday night and again last night (although at least last night and Thursday night it was divided amongst 3: last night with my dad and Thursday night with the fiancée of our friend who died) Blush

Food was good last night: pork medallions fried in some coconut oil and butter, finished off by bubbling down some chicken stock, grain mustard and a tiny bit of cream, served with celeriac dauphinoise, buttery leeks and baby sweetcorn. Dessert was cream and yoghurt whipped together and topped with some cinnamon (dh, ds and my dad had it topped with muscovado sugar).

prettybird · 21/11/2022 13:53

@Baystard - that's a brilliant NSV. You've inspired me to try on my "good" trousers, although I suspect they'll still be a bit snug on my thighs Blush

I'll take photos so you can see the progress. Hold me to that Grin

OP posts:
prettybird · 21/11/2022 13:55

@ListenLinda - I also still want to lose just over (or more Wink) half a stone by Christmas so that I can get under 12 stone. We will achieve it Xmas Grin

OP posts:
prettybird · 21/11/2022 13:57

@Skiphopbump - what a Star. You're doing sooo well Flowers

KOKO and you'll more than achieve your Boot Camp goal Smile

OP posts:
Skiphopbump · 21/11/2022 14:35

Thanks @prettybird ! I’m feeling really positive about bootcamp today as I’m seeing and feeling the results.

@Baystard that’s fantastic, you also inspired me to try on a pair of jeans that were too small not long ago - they fit really well!

debka · 21/11/2022 14:36

1lb off for me this week. It feels so slow- but I know it all adds up. I've not cheated at all, unless 2 glasses of red wine on Saturday night count. I think red isn't too carby? I'm not much of a drinker but I do have a glass or 2 every now and then.

Lucienandjean · 21/11/2022 14:54

I'm really pleased to have now lost 50lbs in total since starting low carb eating in January. I've still got a long way to go but it's another milestone.

My next target is to get down to 253lbs, at which point I'll no longer be morbidly obese, just obese! Blush I'm hoping to get there before the end of this Bootcamp.

BIWI · 21/11/2022 14:56

Some really good results here! Brilliant Flowers

NotDonna · 21/11/2022 17:10

Amazing results! And even if it’s just half a pound every time it all adds up!!
