Morning all! Yes the mad thing is I know I can't be pg cause I know when I ovulated and I've had four temps above the cover line. Part of me is mad because taking the morning after pill is going to stuff up my charts - after all the effort I've gone to, but the other part of me is thinking what's the point, I may as well just go back on the pill and forget the lot!

bebejones · 20/09/2010 08:35

Could you show your DH the charts and maybe explain to him how it works & that you can't be PG? Or... & this might be really controversial....could you not just tell him you took it?! Blush

We've been through it all in great detail, I've explained it as well as I can but DH is adamant. And when I went to fill in the online Levonelle questionnaire, he went (turning pale) "oh my god it says it's only 95% effective"! Speaks volumes for how far off ttc we are.

It cost me £27.50 as well!

AmandaCooper · 20/09/2010 08:57

Also this is all my own fault. DH really wanted to use a condom but I kind of forced him not to. I do feel pretty bad about that. Going back on the pill is probably the solution. Sad

DH says we're not having a baby till we move out of the flat anyway.

bebejones · 20/09/2010 08:57

Ridiculous amount of money IMO! Can't believe he is being so OTT about it! Shock No contraception is 100% effective FFS. Remember on Cherry has a baby she had a coil & got PG! One of my friends' mum had been sterilised & then got PG with my friend! Hmm So even that isn't foolproof!

must been really horrid for you when you have been working so hard with your charting & were progressing with your DH!

AC you didn't 'force' him, he didn't have to did he, if he really didn't want to use a condom he would have stopped!

Oh AC so sorry to hear that your DH is being such a pain.

I am kind of with bebe though. Tell him you have taken it and then don't bother. After all, if it turns out that you are PG then you are in that "unlucky" 5% and it is evidently meant to be that you are PG. I know it's dishonest but sometimes......... Am very cross with your DH - want to come around and throw rotten tomatoes at him for being such a pain to you!!!Grin

Thanks for starting the new thread Bebe - looking forward to our train journey together. I am settling myself onto a bar stool listening to the cute pianist playing old classics and sipping on my dirty martini.... Heaven! Am hoping this gin will kill my cold and return my voice before the interview tomorrow morning as at the moment I sounds a though I am interviewing for a job manning a sex chat line!!! Hmm

jbells · 20/09/2010 09:12

haha JS maybe it will be a man interviewing u and he will take a shine to your sexy voice and immediantly want to offer u the job :)

JS - I'll be with you manning the sex chat line I've got the husky voice going on as well! I'll have a long island ice tea please :o

AC - Do feel like we all need to come round and give your DH a bit of a shake! If it was me I'd be inclined not to take it even if it is really dishonest!

Haven't taken it yet but just went to the loo and have the most extreme EWCF ever! That's a surprising development!

Oh AC don't take it before you have thought everything through. It could be a sign that it is your time to conceive...... these things happen for a reason (I'm a big believer in fate)

Thanks bebe boss just arived and clocked the voice so feeling a bit bad I think as he is being nice.

JustShaggingForNow · 20/09/2010 10:17

just realised that didn't make sense. I meant that my boss was feeling bad that I was in the office and so is being nice to me today!

Hi all, thanks for the lovely welcome. This train looks very luxurious. I'll just settle into this comfy armchair in the waiting room with a Mocha and a blueberry muffin. There's a few spare if anyone wants one.

Glad your boss is being nice JS, maybe lay it on really thick & make him feel so bad he lets you leave early!! Wink

AC - how confusing although it is possible to OV twice in a cycle....Hmm

The virtual ones probably aren't as tasty though. Maybe we should have both just to see :)

I had intended using this waiting period to get a bit fitter but it doesn't seem to be happening, there is always something more fun to be doing! Although on a good note (i think) stopping the pill has reduced my appetite somewhat.

Report
bebejones · 20/09/2010 10:44

I blame the pill entirely for my initial weight gain. Once I stopped I was so used to eating loads that I just kept going. Blush
Of course I then piled even more on when I was PG, once I figured that the only way not to be sick was to eat....oooops!! I have used my much extended waiting period to get fitter & lose weight, has helped keep my mind off things a little bit & also I have the best incentive to keep going!

WYorksLass I am also using the waiting period to get fitter. Started running about 6 weeks ago (I hated running or any kind of exercise!!) and am now really enjoying it. My DSis who is a very good runner told me it would take 3 weeks to get hooked on the endorphins and she was so right. If you can run regularly for 3 weeks then I promise you will start to enjoy it and it won't be a chore.

Bebe banana muffins sounds amazing! you are a veritable domestic goddess arenlt you!?? Does DD like baking?

JS - I lack the motivation to go running Hmm
I love cooking, but not fancy stuff! I do (In DHs opinion) make the best banana bread/muffins in the whole world! :o DD likes helping, sometimes, although she gets upset when it's time to stop stirring! She helped me make bread the other day & was surprisingly good at kneading! I am so biased but she is being especially cute this morning & keeps giving me kisses! :) Ask me later & she'll probably be doing my head in!

JS, I know what you mean about the running thing. I took up running about 6 years ago having hated exercise like you. I was hooked on it and pretty fit, i did a couple of marathons and Triathlons and loved it. Anyway, this time last year i did a big triatlon and most of my time got taken up training for it. I said after i'd done it i would just exercise when i felt like it. Consequently i've done very little in the last year and the last time i went running was a couple of months ago i think. I'm a member of the local running club but am no longer up to the distance/speed i used to be so daren't go. Silly, i know! Anyway, enough of my rambling, you've inspired me to go out for a little jog tonight, thanks :)
