I'm a teacher and have children with a wide range of names at school but I think Destiny and Foreva are the worst. Anyone else come across any other Just No names?

I've encountered a lot of Chanel and Cartier in the classroom. Just waiting for Gucci and Prada cos nothing says class like a designer name.

I know a Destinee and I think it's quite pretty but I wouldn't ever name my DC that, tbh. I know a boy called Toronto (his parents have no connection to any Toronto whatsoever btw) which I thought was a bit odd, although he's known as Tor, which I like.

Oh goody another one of these threads. For me anything in the top 50 which demonstrated a clear lack of imagination. Top 10 is even worse.

A top ten name does not demonstrate "a clear lack of imagination".

It does demonstrate that you like a name and are not so precious that you're mortified if other people also like it enough to call their children the same name.

There are some names I dislike or find boring or too "out there" but to deliberately sneer at names is wanky in my opinion.

Jack - really, really boring.

The whole "mustn't be in the top 20/50/100" crap baffles me, I feel like saying "would you pick a frigging name you like and go with it, already!" Obviously you don't want to be one of 7 in the family or close friends but apart from that, pffft!

'Boo' - not short for anything - just that ...
Maybe ok for a baby - but as an adult? (don't know if they had a middle name they could use though...)
Can you imagine a future Prime Minister being called Boo? or Babe? or Foreva?
I think certain names reduce your DC's choices in life...
Imagine a CV from 'Boo Smith' - pretty sure you will be judged in advance with a name like that - even if only because they thought you'd used your nickname on your cv.
Sad, not fair, but true I think...
On the other hand maybe you would get interviewed because they wanted to see what you looked like? So maybe an advantage...

Not this shite again. How long before someone posts that their friend of a friend was in the hospital bed next to a woman who called her baby Chlamydia?

I HATE Jayden and Cayden.

i wouldn't use a nickname instead of the full name myself unless I really loved the nickname.

I agree on Foreva and Destiny.
