AIBU?

to start a thread for all the pissed off Mother's Day influx?

Just that really. It could get quite comical really: Who got the worst gift?! It could also stop the usual situation of umpteen threads bitching about the lack of diamonds flowers etc.

One thread to rule them all...

Mothers Day needs it's own AIBU topic just for the day, keep all the moaning and whining in one place.

very good Grin

I don;t even have my kids with me due to access - they celebrate mother's day with the OW and her kids - so stop moaning people

I got a plant my DD2 have saved her snack money for and 2 home made cards - oh and pancakes in bed

I loved it all

I am in, and I bring Wine.
I already know what I have got, as the dts told me. I am not to tell anyone though as its a surprise. Grin
I have decorated scented candles from school and chocolates from Tesco, I have to share the chocolates but can keep the candles to myself apparently Grin
I am happy with a lie in. Although I doubt I will get one as dp is working.

I have bought my own card, I have asked for a quiet day with no fighting from the teens and some viennese truffles. That's all. I don't really care if the truffles don't materialise TBH.

I'm getting a lie in and a bacon roll, and the kids have made me eleventy million sticky, gluey, glittery messy cards at nursery. I'm fine with that.

Shall be severely rolling eyes at the 'all I got was a' brigade tomorrow.

Ah, a day of no fighting would be bliss. My Mum used to say that too. Poor Mum. We only stopped fighting when we moved out, there really is no hope.

I have nothing, although DP will probably attempt to buy something at a greatly reduced price before the supermarket shuts tomorrow.

I have won dinner for two in a competition though, so lunch is covered, although tempted to take a friend instead...

Ds2 has no idea what the three of them have bought me as ds1 and dd did it

He thinks that it must be very special though because his third share came to £4

(I think it includes the card and you know how expensive they are!!)

There needs to be a special place for women who think their bfs/husbands should buy/treat them to things on Mother's Day.

So, for any thread tomorrow about 'crappy' mother's day, post a link to here Grin Let's keep it all contained!

Some get in a right tizz about mothers day its sad and hilarious at the same time the flowers are not right they have to go to Mils for half an hour blah blah. My dds are old enough to buy wine so i have a great mothers day Grin Dd 1 is on a weird back shift she finishes at 4 am and starts at 3pm i will see her for an hour if im lucky tomorrow which is a shame

Im getting card, trip to the cinema and DDs will also order in some nice food via Just Eat, whatever I choose. I might miss out the cinema bit. I fancy staying in. Laying in bed with a huge box of Ferrero Rocher after dinner, no shares. & a nice glass of wine or 3. I know tomorrow will spawn loads of threads re. DHs who have the actual audacity to un-weld from their wives to spend a few hours with their own mum yet if said wives are asked to accompany they'll whinge about that too, and the "sod ya mum, it should be all about me me me & only me" outraged wives brigade will be out in force. Im going to hide them all. There's one thread now, and a someone came on thread saying she was missing most of tomorrow as she's flying back from DMs funeral. Puts things into perspective re. being grateful really.

All I want is enough chocolate to keep me going till Easter.

I've mentioned this quite a lot but I think my voice may work on some sort of frequency inaudible to my family, especially in the mornings.

I'm pissed off because my glittery handmade card is still at nursery because DS2 was off sick on Friday Grin

Oh and because DH pinched the card I bought for my mum to send to his mum so I had to buy another Envy

misses point of the thread

I've had my pressie early as we have a busy day tomorrow. I've spent a lovely evening drinking pink fizz and watching a musical of my choice snuggled up with my teens. I really couldn't ask for anything more. Although my lie-in is pretty much guaranteed as they will be in bed until I wake them up (or their phones do).

Happy Mothers' Day to all you lovely, hard working mums out there. Flowers Wine

We've seen MiL today (she's with SIL tomorrow) and will drop in and visit my mum enmasse after a trip to B&M for me to get a spray mop and dd to get a duvet cover.

I'm not going to sneer at anyone morning tomorrow because quite often the posters are hurting for another reason really. There was a time people used to figure this out and post constructive and supportive stuff. Now a lot of people are just waiting for a verbal wank off to put someone down. Sad
