DP went to the shop and I requested chocolate. Came back with Maltesers.

Maltesers.

Maltesers ffs.

I like Maltesers sometimes but they don't have enough chocolate on to be classed as 'chocolate' for a chocolate run. I expected Twirl, Dairy Milk, Galaxy, you know, chocolate.

YANBU. They are borderline sweets, ffs.

wheresthelight · 01/03/2015 21:16

you have only one course of action open to you...LTB!!!

galaxy/dairy milk/lindt /green and blacks are all acceptable but malteasers are not chocolate

BastardGoDarkly · 01/03/2015 21:16

YABU I'd swap my first born for a bag of malteasers right now.

takeitonthegin · 01/03/2015 21:16

This is disgraceful. LTB! Maltesers are in the same category as Bounty or Turkish Delight. Definitely not proper chocolate.

nocoolnamesleft · 01/03/2015 21:16

Maltesers are great...if you fancy maltesers. But not if you fancy chocolate. Has he no sense?

LTB.

CalleighDoodle · 01/03/2015 21:20

Maktesers are buscuit.i second ltb. This is clearly passive aggression.

poisonedbypen · 01/03/2015 21:22

Ooh, I love maltesers- send them over here.

Only1scoop · 01/03/2015 21:22

Op....he's not suggesting something is he??

They are almost the 'fruit salad' option of chocolate

Eva50 · 01/03/2015 21:26

YABVVVU. I am eating blueberries and 0% Greek yogurt at the moment and would kill for Malteesers. It it a small bag, a family sized one or a box.

RabidFairy · 01/03/2015 21:27

I would be happy with Maltesers, BUT I always specify a few options for my DH.

FirstWeTakeManhattan · 01/03/2015 21:27

Hmmm. No, not chocolate. But that sticky, malty sweetness? I'd give them mouth room. Could have been worse. He might have bought AndWhoknowsWhatTheFuckIsInThisOne Revels.

Give him another chance.

Eva50 · 01/03/2015 21:27

Are you near me?

MidniteScribbler · 01/03/2015 21:28

Leaving him would be too good for him. He must be destroyed.

Paintedpinksapphires · 01/03/2015 21:29

YABU - you are clearly an amateur You need to be specific about these things.

Don't moan, the poor chap will never do another chocolate run for you again.

uggmum · 01/03/2015 21:29

I would not be happy with that substitute. Malteasers are dry with only minimal chocolate.
Not good!

God I love malteasers.

YABU mainly because now I want some. Can I have yours ?

Titsalinabumsquash · 01/03/2015 21:33

I like Malteasers, I'm partial to a bunny at this time of year )or anytime from Jan-Dec tbh)

Just be thankful he didn't get you Turkish Delight, no amount of chocolate disguise could make that ok!

StellaAlpina · 01/03/2015 21:33

I'd be pleased with malteasers. I really want some now. Much more fun to eat then bar shaped chocolate.

TheFairyCaravan · 01/03/2015 21:35

I was out with DH today and he asked me if I wanted a large bag of Maltesers. I said no becuse chocolate gives me migraines.

He went Shock "what even Maltesers?" Hmm

puds11isNAUGHTYnotNAICE · 01/03/2015 21:37

The chocolate to air ratio in maltesers is all off!

I'd kill him. This is a fatal mistake!

DamselNotInHerDress · 01/03/2015 21:37

Oh my god I LOVE malteasers but I'd eat an entire family sized bag (family of 5 to share that bag? Not in this house or any other I bet!) and am meant to be losing weight so none for me :(
What size has he bought you?

Crush (put unopened bag in a freezer bag them smash fist on unopened bag) and sprinkle them over some vanilla ice-cream, fantastic!

hmc · 01/03/2015 21:39

I would rank maltesers far above any other chocolate!

PedantMarina · 01/03/2015 21:41

YY to LTB. Mental cruelty, textbook case.
