Ok is it just me that finds it completely irritating to see to see posters to include [sigh] in their posts.

It reminds me of a petulant child

I hate <shrugs> too, it's just so bloody rude.

Especially when done to me

I find [thrush] more irritating to be honest.

Depends on the context, surely.

I've only seem to see it when a poster is trying to indicate condescension

ChaosTrulyReigns - Meh is also right up there with the irritating phrases, mainly because I've caught myself doing it in RL

I'm with you OP, [sigh] is usually being used condescendingly, and [shrugs] is used to be dismissive. But not always, it does depend on context.
