For those few of you who have been following my snail-paced adoption. The man from the Ministry of Foreigh Affairs has found my file stuck behind the back of a radiator, dusted it off and passed it on to the next bureaucrat in line. So its progressed to the Ministry of Education. Hurrah!

Now I wait for a travel date and confirmation of where in Kazakhstan I'll be travelling to - most likely Ust-Kamengorsk in October 2006.

This is the first good news I've had since my file disappered in early June!

Hurrah! (Have I said that already? - what the heck I'm going to say it again...) Hurrah!

Wow - that's fabulous news. At long, long last. That's made my day, that has. About time you had some good news.

Two years and 4 months pregnant and at last I have a due date!

Hurrah!

JackieNo Tue 15-Aug-06 17:41:07

That really is quite some pregnancy.

Apparently more than an elephant but less than an alpine black Salamander (38 months)

Wow Sue!

Do you know anything about your new baby? Boy or girl that type of thing?

Congratulations

suejonez Tue 15-Aug-06 17:59:21

Haven't asked for boy or girl (so mosty likely to get a boy as they are less requested ) Under 2 years but most likely to be between 9-18 months.

Oh shit, haven't learnt enough Russian. <<SJ rushes off to dust off Russian books she's ignored all summer>>

Yippee. Congratulations. You must let the Ealing/Richmond/Sunbury crown know the age gender so we can get planning that baby shower / welcome home do. Ooooooh he/she could come home for Christmas, huh? What a lovely pressie. Jeez, I'm getting all emotional and I'm not the "pregnant" one.

Fantastic news! Norwegian friends of mine adopted a girl from India. She is the same age as DS but it took them 3 long years to get her. I thought the 9 months of waiting were bad enough.

I shall be checking back for updates in October.
