We need to:

  • bake some festive biscuits for teachers
  • put up the tree

I need to:
  • pick up one stocking item for DH
  • buy DD's present
  • write a handful of Christmas cards

We all need to:
  • travel to family and spend Christmas away

(will check with hosts what they'd like us to contribute next week)

Me too Damson Grin

Wrapping is shite and I'm fucking useless at it!

We've still got to do the tree as well.

Oh, and write the cards. Grin

Blimey Cake - that's loads to dinner!

On another note, hope your DS is feeling better now.

I think I prefer blitzing it all in December so going to save up next year and do it in one go rather than stretching it out like I did this year and the year before.

It's the first of December. We've just started (and this counts as early for us).

DH and I thought we were being good and organised this year because we already made a list of presents to buy. I just did a big old Amazon order that's most of the boys' presents (and some of DH's). There are only a few things left to get (because I couldn't order them off amazon).

I need at some point to spend a (hideous) day or maybe spread it over 2 dashing about the shops (ideally when they only just opened so it's quieter) getting all the small stocking filler-y stuff.

I need to buy (probably online) wrapping supplies and then (much later in December) wrap everything.

I need to buy the food, drinks and all that nonsense. I'll do that on the 23rd probably. We no longer have our awesome American fridge freezer because we moved (next year we're redoing the kitchen and getting another one) so I'm not sure how to fit all the food in the pathetic excuse for an integrated fridge freezer we have. The freezer takes up a lot of space but only has one proper size drawer in it. The fridge is similarly rubbish.

We'll get a (real) tree a week on Sunday and decorate it. The boys can choose a new bauble each (something ludicrous that doesn't go with anything else on the tree) for it.

Another one with everything to do!!

Report
MiladyThesaurus · 01/12/2016 21:13

They can't have it all done. They're probably going to want some fresh food for Christmas (and going by that other thread, they'lol need to replace all the Christmas stuff they've already eaten!)

I was actually just meaning that we were thinking ourselves organised for having even started at all but the Christmas board on MN is all about tying up loose ends at this point.

Need to do a couple of returns, get the last couple of bits for stockings, get some clothes for the DCs and then wrap everything.

Got a landlord inspection next week though and that's taken over everything as they're putting the rent up and we need to find somewhere else to live, get ready to potentially move etc. So no longer feeling terribly festive! Really glad I did most of the shopping/decision making early this year
