I've bought her clothes and smellies but am now stuck

she loves drawing but has millions of artist pens/pencils/paints/paper/drawing board etc

Loves anything Japanese/Manga/Anime/Kawaii

she doesn't read much, rarely buys magazines or cds/downloads stuff

doesn't want make-up lessons/ experience type presents

Not bothered about jewellry or a watch
Not sporty

Arghh- twas much easier when I could buy a load of cute fluffy things and a fairy costume

any suggestions gratefully received

Place marking, such a difficult age to buy for.

I've bought a huge fluffy blanket, lots of smellies and jewellery but now I'm stuck.

Tiger is a good shop for pens, pencils etc some really funky stuff.

I got a soft felt bag for a friend's dd (15) from there it's perfect size for files, grey, with a leather look pocket on the front and it was £4!

If she has a phone get her a virtual reality attachment - lots of manga stuff to download on them

This is a bit left field as you'd have to either do it as an early present this year, or an IOU for next year which is a way off, but if she's into manga would something like this
Hyper Japan Expo interest her?

Or tickets for ComicCon.

I guess she might already have Letraset Promarkers and they also do a pad designed especially for use with them which are great for manga drawings.

//www.truffleshuffle.co.uk is good for quirky retro TV/film themed gifts. My 12yo DD and her best friend are getting Little Miss Blogger and Little Miss Selfie mugs.

The other thing she's after is a either a Polaroid type camera like a Fuji Instax, or an HP Sprocket which enables Polaroid style printing from a smartphone. Would something like that interest your DD?

What about pro markers? I think you can get a set that are specifically for manga drawing

thank you all- some lovely ideas :) The Hyper Japan Expo...I would bloody love to go to that as well but alas too far for us to do in a day . Hope for something similar here in North East

We bought her a massive set of Promarkers last year and they are still good despite being used almost every day: can recommend them 100%

Have sent off for a virtual reality thing for phone, that book from Wicked Uncle (fab website) and a poster from Etsy. Really tempted by the HP Sprocket printer for her phone- I remember the fun me and my best mate used to have as kids with her Polaroid camera

Thanks again; am very, very grateful!

How about an IOU for tickets to next year's Japan festival in London? They do it twice a year and dd is nagging non stop to go to the one at the end of this month but we're already going to doki doki in Manchester next weekend.

Manchester also do a good comic con every year.

Dd is getting some Zoella stuff. Some Fly boots, a Kawaii/Lolita skirt. A skirt in Zara she saw and liked. An illustrated Harry Potter book. Some Tanya burr make up and some Too Faced makeup.

The Lolita one was this one

Found a fab kawaii style ruffle blouse in Primark as well to go with it.

My dd is a year or so younger but wants to replace some IKEA furniture in her room for something nicer. We are trawling Etsy for a wooden handmade chests and cabinets, some really beautiful options and hopefully something she can keep as she grows up. She's also asking for accessories for her room, cushions, vases etc.

Ds15 has similar tastes

I'm getting him some mural paints & giving him a pass to do a wall in his bedroom.
