acceptable hoodie brands for 12/13yo boy?

Sorting present suggestions for fil- he prefers that I give him links and he clicks and buys. For dss I've suggested a hoodie, as last years super dry one was a massive hit. But I've left it late, there's no zip up ones left on the website, are there any other brands that are acceptable? I could suggest an over the head one, but he's quite a sturdy build.

My 15 yo DN wants a Gap, but he lives abroad and I suspect they are not teen-cool in the UK.

If not Superdry, try Carhartt. I'd say it's the closest thing.

It's Stussy, Diamond and Primitive here.

Interesting. Didn't realise that super dry was so last year.

My boys like superdry.....

Gosh, you'd think they'd be happy with whatever they get given. Same situation here, only with my niece last year. I was given a list of 'acceptable brand t-shirts' - they cost more than I'd spend on a t-shirt for myself!! Hmm

My boy likes Saltrock.
Perhaps ask your DS? You could comment on a hoody your saw someone wearing. Would be a shame to get something and find out it is not something he would wear in public!!!!

Thank god my DC don't care about brands!! Though for them, the best hoodies are band ones (which aren't cheap), but are happy with Matalan/ primark / supermarket stuff etc.

My DS would only wear ones with no branding or maybe unobtrusive branding.

Definitely not GAP.

My DS wears Animal, my 10yo is desperate for SuperDry, my 16yo thinks it's last year, I think 12yo would find it OK.

No one seems offended by Holister in this house.

It's mainly Nike and Addidas in our house!

Re coolness, I think it depends on where you live/social circle. For my two, Hollister, Jack Wills, Superdry are all no-no's and always have been!

I've just taken a huge pile of Hollister stuff to the charity shop....DS is 16 and hadn't worn it for 3 years.
He has Jack Wills from a couple of years ago .
Luckily he has a part time job and buys his own clothes...Lyle and Scott, Pretty Green , Asos and Adidas. Quite a mod look.
He spent £140 on a sweatshirt from Selfridgres Shock..it is plain navy and looks like one from Matalan. I refuse to wash it in case it shrinks.

Nike etc would be 'chavvy' in our house...
DS1 likes 'merch' aka band stuff and retro/mod gear. He is happy in primani jeans though.
DS2 likes Ralph Lauren, top shop, Jack wills, Hollister, Fred Perry etc
DS3 is 11 and trying things out. We are currently in marks and Spencer jeans :) and Hollister tops.
The washing pile is a minefield
