Cant decide between

bacon, eggs, sausages, leftover ham if we have that christmas eve, black pudding, grilled cherry plum tomatoes

Or scrambled egg and smoked salmon

Or omelettes.

Have heard of people having duck and quail eggs. Do you have them fried, poached or scrambled?

dcs have chocolate and possibly cereal.

We just eat whatever takes out fancy

One year I ate a whole selection box

Far too much champagne <hiccup>

Mundane choice, I know, but we find assorted part baked bread rolls go down well with the DC ages 6 & 2.5 before the confectionary takes over. Smoked salmon and scrambled eggs for the grown ups!

This year we are having Lucky Charms!

As merry champagne or even port.

Dc have chocolate

There will be vegetables served later on, so all is good

I try to have something light like toast or wheatabix, keep some room for all the alcohol and chocolate Christmas dinner.

Croissants now I'm married with my own home.

Bagels with smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, and bucks fizz. Kids usually demolish a selection box.

Last year we shared tubes of smarties from our stockings. The year before dd1 made muffins.

croissants, brioches, sometimes panettone or pain au chocolat

apricot jam for us, nutella for the kids

bucks fizz (made ourselves, not some orrible prebottled)

Have been thinking about varying it this year though, as the above formula seems to have crept into birthdays and holidays too so is becoming a bit samey

kids would like Krave or similar, I'd rather not. so <lurk>

Pancakes! when I was a kid we just ate our chocolate from the stockings but my two seem to actually want a breakfast....

Grew up having a ham (cooked that morning) and hard boiled eggs (shelled by children who want to get to presents).

This year I intend to do as HairyPotter and have smoke salmon and scrambled eggs on bagels. Might even have some bubbly (neither of us driving Christmas day for the first time in years!)

Chocolate is traditional........ but I usually just have a satsuma and a couple of dates, and about 3 cups of tea. If I'm eating a big meal later (and maybe a mince pie late morning with a glass of port) I really don't want much breakfast.

USA style pancakes, smothered in butter, sprinkled with raspberries and blueberries and dredged in icing sugar. Burp!

Smoked salmon on brown bread for me. Think DS will want waffles (if call of waffle maker is still loud by Xmas anyhow). DH probably Haribo as I've just bought a kilo for him (he has a very sweet tooth)

After watching 'the family stone' I am thinking about making strata, or a version of it.
Anyone ever done this dish?

I love a good fry-up but not Christmas morning - I'll be stuffing my face all day with pigs in blankets, sausage rolls and stuffing balls (on top of all the other Christmas nosh) so don't feel the need for yet more pork for breakfast. WE tend to have smoked salmon, fresh bread and creamy scrambled eggs, with a good strong cup of coffee. The kids will probably have cereal or chocolate or croissants.....

Warmed cinnamon buns and coffee,otradition from home. Mom's buns still waaaay better than mine, but she's 5500 miles away so I do my best! And chocolate: of course! And I can't seem to get rid of the o before tradition!
