I would never wrap a stocking present, but I have heard that other people do, but which is normal?

we wrap (dh thinks it prolongs the fun, of course he's not the poor sod who gets to wrap everything)

Wrap for sure! Takes hours but so much more fun opening them... I get super cheap paper (got some in poundland equivalent - 12 metres for 99p).

I will wrap in tissue paper. I'm proving myself crazy by doing a stocking for a 7 month old, I may as well top it off by wrapping the preents.

That was quick Shock

DH made me a stocking when we were first together and I have to say I was very disappointed that the presents were wrappped. It's just not the same, I want instant gratification from my stocking.

Wrap. In last year's leftover wrapping paper. That's why you smooth it all out and fold it up to keep.

Wrap in cheap paper (or leftover paper as someone else said)

I wouldn't bother about doing this, but DH insists and he happily wraps them all so I am content Grin

wrap, in paper with FC on, because stockings are from him, and use different paper for everything else.

still do this now, even though DC are fully aware who the stockings are from.

Always wrap -slows things down to a manageable pace :)

Wrap.

WRAP!

And use paper DC's haven't seen as stockings are from Santa....

Start now as you buy things - it makes life simpler and sometimes can add to the fun,if you forget what they've got!!!

Wrap everything except satsuma and choc coins.

Each teenager child has their own (previously unseen) wrapping paper which is also used to wrap their main presents. Santa still leaves the stockings upstairs and the presents under the tree obviously Wink

Don't wrap the stocking presents (small gifts DVD, chocolate coins, socks etc) but we wrap ALL of the Santa presents

Those who wrap, how do you cope with the rustling when sneaking the stocking back without waking your dc?

I don't wrap, just fill with stuff/tat and then they are alowed to rumage through it in the morning before waking us up. All other presents are wrapped.

Definitely not wrapped - life is too short...but presents used to be carefully chosen (Father Christmas had brought them from afar, not Tesco)
Main presents wrapped.

I wrap! It doesn't seem right not to.

If you stuff the stocking well, there is minimal rustling. I use nuts to fill gaps.

One year when I was little I was still awake when my mum brought my stocking in, and it sat at the foot of the bed slowly creaking as it inched its way to slowly falling over. I didn't dare move for hours ages because I thought there was someone still standing there!
