Hey would like to lose at least 2.5 stone but through usual cutting back and exercise but nothing faddy. Could do with someone with with a similar amount to lose so we can weight in weekly but not have to pay for WW or slimming world! I'm 42 and have been feeling crap! Drinking too much vino and also not exercising due to stressful office job but want to make the time to get out at lunchtimes! Have just had a crappy viral thing and high dose antibiotics so truly feeling crap and need to get motivated as am getting up to heaviest I've ever been. Any buds - starting Monday!

I'll join you. I've been loosing weight slowly through watching what I eat and getting more exercise for just over a week now. I'm currently 16 st 6lbs and I'm 5 ft 2in. I work shifts so it's sometimes hard to plan activities but I've been doing a lot of swimming and aqua fit and aqua stick. I lost 3lbs this week.

Welcome - was going to do weigh in mon mornings (before any food - heh hrs, got to start off on a positive footing) and keep each other motivated or whoever cares to join. I've been on antibiotics so luckily not feeling like eating much today so hopefully will set me up to losing something. Just planning on trying to cut back and get exercising more. I have 2 dogs and have got out of the habit of walking them due to work being soooooo busy but intend to get them out at least an hour per day. She says sitting on her bum playing on her iPad. I love fruit and veg but have got out of the habit eating total crap. Well done you on losing 3 lbs!!!!!!! Keep it up girl and hopefully ill have some equally good nes this week!

Yea Mondays sound good to me taz

Good thinking on walking with the dogs too. I've joined my local gym (mostly for the pool and aqua stick tbh) I'm going to go after work when I can or while my DD is at school if I'm not working that day.

I'm in the morbidly obese category Sad my doctor told me on friday I will get out of breath and my get palpitations doing to much walking or being on my feet for long periods of time. Then I told him what I do for a living (scrub nurse = on feet for 10 - 12 hours a day) he then quickly back tracked.

I love fruit and veg but I'm a rubbish cook. I don't know any healthy or good recipes so if either of you know any please pass them on.

Hi welcome frankly shankly. I had dd3 over a year ago and really got into bad ways. Just walked the dogs for an hour - yay. Feeling dodge tho. Had some vino last night but none to make me feel this yuk! I'm hungry yet feel sick when I eat. Hoping its just due to antibiotics and paracetamol (I get bad cramps and just got my monthlies). Just feeling so toxic! Anyway, mon tomorrow so weigh in day to see what my baseline is! Congrats on your daughter shankly but you take care, ESP if bf. and exercising. You take care fatgirls too. take it slow to begin....Both - speak tomorrow! I read an article by a personal trainer and as he said, its only fat! So let's start changing a couple of things in our lifestyles, stay realistic and watch the lbs fall off and keep it off!

I'm 13st 8lb and the same height. I lost a stone oner 7 weeks, but have just put it all back on! So disheartened. Need to get motivation back (and a decent exercise video - the shred is too much right now!)

Can I join too? As my user name suggests I need to lose some weight. I am 41,5ft 6 and today weigh in at 14st 6lb! I am appalled at how my weight has crept up on me.

Hi am feeling still a bit crook. Wondering if I have a bug but taken dogs for a walk, about to start work! Well done fat girls - another lb. enjoy the swim. Welcome the incidental. Today is a new day and just make lifestyle changes that are realistic and you can carry through to keep it off. That's my plan (ha ha says the expert who put on 3 stone over the past 10 years). The aim is to feel better, be a dress size smaller - to eat good, healthy food but treat yourself to something you enjoy each week. Well off to work....

Yeah that's a good sign taz, and when your feeling better you feel more up for tackling loosing weight, exercise etc so do go easy on yourself until your fighting fit again. Well just had a lovely salad with a yoghurt I just have to listen to my stomach when it's full and not my brain which is saying 'now for a treat!!!' So going to walk to collect dd2 from school now in a bit as the parking is a nightmare so it's a good excuse to get me moving.....nothing wrong with beans on toast taz it's one of my cupboard staples ;-)

Oooooos felt rough again after lunch - upset tum! Just have a bug! Wish I could go to bed but got a man from next coming round as they sold me a duff bed. A bed with drawers except the drawers fall out as soon as you sit on the bed! A bed bought for over £1,000! Shoddy!

Not a bad effort today!

Toast with marmite,
Toasted quorn Sarnie and Pom bears (tee hee) for lunch, then chilli and rice for dinner. One small piece of cake too, but was homemade and gave the rest of the cake away!

May try some Pilates later. Does anyone know any good exercise DVDs for evening workouts? Nothing too intensive as I'm too knackered after a day of toddler management. Was thinking yoga or Pilates maybe...

Excellent! I've been a bit naughty (2 choccy bicies and crisps) - at least only one bag.hate feeling hungry but rubbish at same time. Dh saying he's not feeling good. We did pull something out the freezervwhich had been in there for a while. Must admit - not into exercise videos but hope to eventually invest in the yoga wii thing. Oops just heard my son say he's got a sore tummy. Whoops.

Hi ladies, I'm just under 12.5 stone, I kind of get a weird block and can't get under 12 stone. I need to lose 2.5 stone to be in healthy BMI range. I can't be bothered with SW/WW/low carb so calorie count and exercise when I can be bothered too. Which isn't often enough.

Re:exercise DVDs - Ministry of Sound Pump it Up DVDs are quite fun, and at least mostly decent music. 10 minute Solutions are good as you only need to psych yourself up to do 10 minutes, any more is a bonus iyswim. I find pilates surprisingly hard - as although you are on the floor, you have to concentrate on your breathing, and your abs get a bloody good work out Grin. Rosemary Conley DVDs are v easy realistic, so not a bad starting point, as remember the aim is to get a bit puffy and burn some calories rather than be superfit with six pack at this stage!

Thank you! I like the idea of either short bursts or more laid back exercise as i find it really hard to fit around my son. He's not patient at all when I want to do exercise!

Morning all. I am aiming to have a good day today. Have a salad, fruit and ww yoghurt to get me through the day at work. I am aiming to do some exercise tonight but didn't manage that yesterday. My one problem is eating when I get home from work, need to find ways to stop this. I must try and have a good week as I am going out for a meal on Saturday night. Just before Monday weight in.

Morning all. I managed an hour of lengths yesterday. Then went to work at 12 noon, I was supposed to be done at 9pm but didn't actually get out of work till 4.30 am this morning. So at about midnight when we had a break I did have a chocolate bar and a bag of crisps as I had already eaten my dinner (tuna salad) at 5pm and had nothing more with me.
No exercise for me today as I'm back in work at noon Sad I am taking my dinner and a granola bar and a apple just incase I end up staying late again.

Room for another one?

I have been doing WW for the last 10 weeks. Lost 20lbs, but had a terrible weekend, so not holding out much hope for a loss this week.

I need to try and get some excercise in and try to eat more fruit.

Currently 12st11.5lbs and 5ft7. Aim is to get to 11st. Hopefully by Christmas, though am wondering if that's too optimistic.....
