Poor DD1 has been stuck with only our tiny gravelled back garden snow as she has ahd the pox, now she is better we were forecast 10cm, but nothing!
She needs snow, the poor girl, anyone in Southwales got a decent drift we can steal

It was snowing earlier as we were walking back from playgroup, lovely big fat snowflakes, the DD's had fun dancing in it. but it didn't settle. HUmph.

MrsBadger - I am praying for you, your need is obviously much greater than my DD's

You are due some heavy snow tomorrow in South Wales. We are just over the border in Herefordshire. We have had awful snow and might catch some tomorrow as well. We have low oil supplies - the tanker might make it up later this week if they can get up to us and have a scraping of coal - the coal merchant laughed when we said we needed more coal and told him where we lived. It was awful getting down to school for the school run, if the roads dont get better on the hill and there is a slightest hint of snow, then I am not taking the lo down.

God, sorry pop. I do forget what it's like to be snowed in. About 25 years ago we were living in the Fens, we came home from Spain one night in january and when we woke the next morning the power and the generator had packed in and there were 2 foot drifts at every door.

Fingers crossed all yours (and Mrs Badgers)lands on me instead

Loads here still in Ceredigion. Looks like we're getting some more later tomorrow/Wednesday. I'm getting a bit fed up of it now and I love snow. As Cardiff born and bred, we rarely had snow so I'd get very excited when we did get some. Having now had it for 3 weeks and living in rural mid-Wales on an unadopted lane, up a hill, 30 minutes by car from the shops in good weather etc. etc. it's no longer fun - I'm desperate for DD to go back to pre-school . At least we have oil and plenty of wood and coal so we can keep warm.

Still waiting here in northern pembs, everyone else has had masses and we've had lots of ice and about an inch of snow , ds' were very excited and nada today, even after an email from the council last night warning us about the weather. Two local schools have just decided to close early to maybe they know something we don't.

Do you want to swap mejon, here on the coast it's quite clear, we'd love to come play where you are.

A case of be careful what you wish for here, been watching schools website all day, and watching as the schools start closing from the south up, 2pm our local school comes up closed and I think WTF it's fine outside? Just collected them and had to walk home in sub zero blizzard conditions!
