Me too. I'm going to do a bit tomorrow, then wing it (again) for 4 weeks and 4 days until Easter!

And me and not well. Normally I ignore the doctor when he tells me he wants to sign me off..after a shit couple of weeks pre half term and being behind I am tempted to stay at home and catch up.

Nowhere near enough. I still have four class sets of books to mark, displays to change, three classes worth of controlled assessments to mark. The first couple of weeks back are going to be me busking it: thank god it's a short half term!

Not a stroke of work done! And shit loads to do. Sick mama, sick babies and good old fashioned laziness! Oops.

I've done no work. But I have redecorated two bedrooms and built a lot of flat pack furniture. I've also helped two sixth formers with audition material, and had a chat with my colleague about our potential route out of teaching.

I've done nothing! My heart's not really in it anymore - lessons for next week are prepped but that's it.

1994 and Evil have you got other things in the pipeline? ?

I did 5 hrs of c/w marking on weds, 3 hrs today...I'm still not done. Brought 5 folders home and got 4 more at school to do by the end of Monday. ..reports to write plus I've not even thought about what I'm teaching..
I've only been back 6 weeks from mat leave and I was going to end the holiday feeling smug..I'm sinking though!
Blag it until easter I think.. :(

Kind of. Early stages at the moment but in theory, yes. Sorry to be cryptic but it's very early days.

My personal rule is I DON'T work during the holidays! I work during term time, evenings and most Sundays, but I take holidays off... I came to this decision quite early on (three years or so into teaching, am in my sixth year now), when I realised that I had to make life sustainable!

I know this is going to sound all wrong, but I have actually missed school and annoyed that I didn't bring any work home with me over half-term. Crazy, I know. I have never felt this way before. Reality will resume next week.

I did about 10 hours over Monday and Tuesday, but couldn't bring myself to do anything 'adminy'.

Some of you are making me feel better! Did about 4hrs of prep yesterday, because about 5hrs of controlled assess marking to sort today. At least I've had some sleep thought his week. Got a hellish week ahead of me.

Good luck to those resigning.

As you say, only 4 weeks 4 days, we can blag that! GrinBlush

Me! Intended to do lots but actually haven't done much at all!!! I have loads of BTEC coursework to mark plus GCSE ISAs and haven't made any headway oops! I am leaving my current job at Easter to start at a new school so need to make sure everything is left in good order before the hols!

On the plus side Monday's lessons are planned and I went in on Friday to do all of my photocopying Smile

Otherwise, I've spent half term seeing various family members, relaxing with DH and having fun with DS Smile

At least it's a short half term this time!

I've done nothing. It's a holiday.

Report
KinkyDorito · 21/02/2016 16:05

Whereas I've done loads, still haven't bloody finished and don't feel like I've done a fraction of things that I should have done for my family and home. (Went in Monday, marked all day Thurs and Fri, some on Sat and all morning today. Feel like I should do more but am brimming with resentment.)

We're also not on a short half term here: 6 weeks until 'Easter' (not at Easter) hols here.

Mocks next week. Bring on the mega stack to add to my already overflowing pile.

Gah.

Love it really. But, gah.

This is the approach I need to cultivate. Thirteen years in now and still haven't learned.

I think it's a damned if you do, damned if you don't.

At least those who haven't have had a proper break. I'm getting a sore throat which should not be happening after a rest week.

My half term was the week before. We went on holiday early Saturday morning and got home, jet lagged, on Sunday lunch time. TBH, as so jet lagged, I have done nothing all week! And the week before we went away me, dh and DD were all ill so very little got done then.
