Did she go tonight?

I did feel her reason for her song choice was slightly aiming for the sympathy vote, it being the week before the final. And I know, I know, I know. But I did just think I do think she has an amazing voice - it's just not one I want to listen to (not a fan of waily women, however many notes they hit in the right order though).

But Ray was off-key tonight, I thought too.

She went to all those famous stagey schools didn't she? That put me off. Preferred her when I thouhgt she was a receptionist plucked from obscurity with undiscovered talent.

Actually didn't like her much then even. Can't dispute she can sing fabulously, but agree with OP, no personality.

Ah but once she has her record deal and starts to work with writers in the industry I think her youth and her diversity of talent will out!

Don't forget that X Factor keeps them in tight little boxes and she's singing cover songs. Of course they are going to give her the "big" songs. After all do we really want to hear her sing S Club 7 or Britney songs? Bleurggggggghhhhhhhh.

The girl has an amazing vocal range and I can't wait for her second album (the first being a bit sickly sweet and poppy and safe). Wait until the R&B gurus snap her up. She's gonna be hot!

Her eyes are just so lifeless. Just heard from dd that Ben went out. Can't really see why Ray's still in there. And it's not just that Ben's mum apparently shops in my Tesco....
She has a great voice, but Ray was so out of tune tonight (and I speak as a music graduate).

I don't want to dislike her TC. She's beautiful and talented, I wish I was shouting 'Go Girl' (not that I've EVER shouted that). But she just doesn't get me going.
Marslady probably right, she will be a star, lots of people do like all that warbling and wailing.
