I love David Morrissey. My god there's so much on telly tonight I'm beside myself!

Misfitless Mon 06-Jan-14 21:00:53

He is absolutely gorgeous, isn't he?

It's on now!

Oh thanks for reminding me.

Yes I like a bit of Mr.M myself who doesn't

When did he first cone to our attention? M thinking late 80's.

Horsemad Mon 06-Jan-14 21:16:08

Watching now! smile Love David Morrissey.

MrsToddsShortcut Mon 06-Jan-14 21:32:27

Early 80's - anyone remember One Summer?

everlong Mon 06-Jan-14 21:33:49

It's a bit boring innit

MrsToddsShortcut Mon 06-Jan-14 21:34:31

Maybe it's a slow burner...

Misfitless Mon 06-Jan-14 21:36:05

No boredom here!

theeverydaydancer Mon 06-Jan-14 21:37:21

I started watching this about 15 minutes ago so I may have missed something, but I've got the gist that the Sheridan Smith character works as a gym instructor - my question is then why does she where a office/business clothes on her way back home on the train?

MsJupiterJones Mon 06-Jan-14 21:39:24

This is dire.

Misfitless Mon 06-Jan-14 21:39:47

Because she wouldn't look half as hot in a pair of tracky bottoms, of course!

I was thinking the exact same thing myself...they'll be debating this on the feminism boards as we watch!

nipersvest Mon 06-Jan-14 21:41:37

i thought i'd read she is the health centre manager. am about half an hour behind as watching on catch up. is it worth sticking with?

PartyFops Mon 06-Jan-14 21:42:09

Its all about waiting for the inevitable, would be better if there was a twist, maybe he thinks she could be his daughter or somthing.

No chemistry between main characters. Boring. Disappointing was looking forward to it. Bit too close to the mark for me tbh.

everlong Mon 06-Jan-14 21:43:37

There has to be a twist.

BikeRunSki Mon 06-Jan-14 21:44:42

I have just turned over. Really not going it for me, and the Sheridan Smith gym instructor/ office clothes dichotomy.

PartyFops Mon 06-Jan-14 21:44:49

I hope so everlong

Isthisme Mon 06-Jan-14 21:45:59

I remember one summer! poor icky.
on another note, sean maguire looks a bit like norman wisdom.

Ohwhatfuckeryisthis Mon 06-Jan-14 21:46:28

It's all very mnetty.
Please advise, my dh has started going to the gym, which is great. But he is getting more and more distant, coming home later and later. Is this what I think it is?

theeverydaydancer Mon 06-Jan-14 21:46:50

Sorry *wear not *where....

Agree - this is dire.

The fact that she is wearing office clothes and heels etc is actually really irritating me. Like who the hell would put on a smart business outfit with heels, do their hair and make up for the journey back home after a day working in a gym ffs!

bellabelly Mon 06-Jan-14 21:48:56

I'm really enjoying it! blush I nearly switched off because I thought they said Neil Morrissey.

Misfitless Mon 06-Jan-14 21:50:07

As someone's said, she's the manager of the gym, dancer.

MorrisZapp Mon 06-Jan-14 21:50:25

Alison whatsit in the Radio Times said this was bland crap.

Bletchley Circle rubbish too, I'm just watching for the hair and costumes. And Rachael Stirlings voice.

Horsemad Mon 06-Jan-14 21:52:32

I'm enjoying it!
