THURSDAY ORDER OF PLAY

Well, it's flying by, this tournament. Sad

Am very miffed that Lipsticki is on second,as I'll probably miss all of it- due to having school meetings and Rainbows between 2.30 and 5.30. .I may catch bits but it's not looking good. And as it's on Centre, even a rain delay won't help.

Not sure who I want to win the first match - but Lipsticki for the tournament, I say- so Go! Lipsticki!

If I was a betting person, I'd be really interested in knowing what odds are being offered on a possible Polish double this year- Radwanska and Janowicz could do it. Radwanska goes into today the favourite , and Janowicz has beaten Murray before, - and this is a tournament of surprises, so....

Oh well- suppose i should at least make some effort in the house before the action startsGrin

Morning all. Probably not going to be around much today as didn't really get much done yesterday!
I can't wait 'til tomorrow's matches. Janowicz looks like an interesting match up for Murray.

Janowicz and murray have only played once before and not on grass, plus it was about four years ago so that meeting is an unknown quantity for them both. If murray plays like he did yesterday he will lose. He's better bring his A game as they say.

Go Lipstick!

Do they get their big bags carried in for them on semi finals day? And do they have to do silly curtseys?

I saw Navratilova and Pam Shriver are playing doubles today at some point. Would like to see that.

Janowicz beat Andy in the Paris masters last year, *chub.

We're going to the Finals on Saturday. I have never watched tennis in my life and have no particular interest (it's a corporate invitation).

Can someone tell me who I should be cheering on as I've never heard of any of them.

TIA

mumble- Envy

Well, Saturday is the women's final- and at the moment we don't know who is in itGrin

Today it's Polish number 1 Radwanska against German Lipsicki (we like her- if she's inthe final, cheer her).

Other semi, Bartoli and surprise semi-finalist Klipkens. I'm not keen on the playing style of either, but Bartoli mayhave the edge.

Cheer for Lipsicki (if she gets there)- and have a great day EnvyGrin

Mumble you will have a great time and as Raahh says you will get sucked in . I took along a non tennis friend ( well I made her join the queue at silly o'clock one Saturday am ) and even after sitting in a field for hours she was totally sucked in and loved it ... and queued the following year with me.

I have managed to pull tickets for the women's final the year Novotna won. Also been lucky enough to go to men's QF's and SF's alas never a men's final Sad

Envy. Have been to men's QF and women's QF. You will definitely get sucked in. Not sure how much play will be on the outer courts on Finals day but it's worth wandering around to see who's playing. If you get there early you might see some of the bigger names warming up on the outer courts.

Happy late morning to all...
Nan's knickers are saved and I am home!
My dd elder has had 2 wisdom teeth out this morning Shock she's 6 weeks off giving birth and has lost near 3 stone in weight thanks to being sick throughout. I am stunned they took her teeth out now given it limits her being able to eat to fed her and baby - baby is so small for term... She also has asthma and is seriously not feeling well so on way home here now with her partner. I will have to be on jelly making and soothing duties for next few days - shame really as that means I best not go out and leave her alone. Her partner will have to go to work, so, am housebound until at least Monday morning Smile about that but Sad for dd. Anybody know if int his stage she can take pain killers? Best she call midwife really though.
Anyhow - gearing up for tennis nonetheless.
Come on Lipsticky!

I'm 41 and haven't had/got any wisdom teethGrin says a lot Grin. Thanks for her- pregnancy can be shit at the best of times, without added stuff. (I had to have wrist surgery when I was having dd1. It didn't helpGrin).

She's home - they also took a regular tooth out to make room for another one? Don't get that given she's 22 and all teeth are present? She had stitches in her mouth Shock Anyhow, she's home. Going to bed for a bit.
I am making jelly!

Paracetamol apparently raahh So dentist said, its okay in this stage of pregnancy. She has a huge list of things she is not allowed to do and eat.
Crikey - Dentists are evil people.

Shall keep Tv volume down today and remain in kitchen away from living room and stairs.

Shock your poor dd Sieze!

Bit behind hand as I've actually done a little bit of work today!

Sun should make an appearance late this afternoon or into the evening.
By tomorrow temps in the mid 20s and by Sunday it will be roasting (comparatively speaking!)
