Oooooooh I'm watching ER on sky Atlantic and its the episode where Curtis Ames kidnaps luka and puts his hand in the vice!

I love ER but Lordy it knows how to ratchet up the tension, I know what happens and I cant watch without something to distract me because the tension is too much! It doesn't help that I ADORE luka. And abbey actually. And Sam. But mostly luka <drool>

I have that recorded to watch tonight. Bugger off to bed, DH, Dr Kovac and I need some time alone.

I've loved re-watching ER from the start, and now we're onto episodes I've never seen.

I had a tricky transition post-Greene, Carter, Corday, Benton, Romano et al., but now I love the new cast. Archie Morris is fabulous! I also have a bit of a thing for Ray.

And I wish I had half of Abby's chutzpah!

I was too young to watch the George clooney seasons, I dont think I even remember post Kovac. Are you watching both episOdes tonight? The first one is terrifying but the second one is laaaaaaaahvely <swoon>

Same here, although I will admit to fast forwarding through many of the Carter-Kovac-Pratt in Africa episodes as they were a bit too dull and worthy. My bad!

ive got all these taped....im still trying to watch season 12 which i am getting a bit stuck with - im finding its hit a massive lull but im bravely battling through!

i do however have about 23 episodes on my sky+ box....this could take some time!

Vicar my sky+ box thing has many many episodes on it, I Have been recording every single one since about the beginning of November! I have to keep distracting DP when he flicks through because there's only something like 40% left

Thing is though, I'm one of those people that likes to watch things over and over again, like I've watched the entire Buffy run from 1 - 7 more than ten times <sad> but I find with things like this, the more you watch the more you ge out of it. I know, for example, that when I watched ER for the first time I didn't appreciate abbey enough because all I got from her was how jaded and cynical she was. This time round I see she is so much more than that.

I've really spent too much time thinking about this

I got so fed up of More4 showing it all out of sync I invested in the entire series in boxset year before last. Watched them again last year when DD was tiny and I had lots of time on my hands. They are a series that I can watch over and over again quite happily and see different things each time.

I have loved Abbey and Neela and Luka, Ray and oddly Archie Morris. I loved the last season, it was well done and even DH tolerates my ER obsession.

Grey's Anatomy has proved watchable but I'm waiting for S3 to get to a reasonable price and then i may invest.

I don't have Sky.

I hated Archie when he first joined but loved him by the end. Loved Abbey, so much crap in her life and yet she achieves so much. The episodes with her mum were always brilliant.

Loved Kovac too except for that series where he went a bit off the rails and started shagging anything that moved.

Loved Dr Green and Dr Weaver. Disliked Carter though, and Susan Lewis.

I haven't been able to keep up with the re-runs and never find time for box-sets either but would love to see it all again one day

I iMDB'd goran visnjic yesterday, he seems to be a lovely man in RL as well!

ive now got 28 episodes to watch on my sky+....watching a couple tonight - they are showing 2 a day though now on atlantic! i cant keep up!!

Oh I know Vicar - it is ace! DP now knows that he must not disturb me unless it is a)an emergency and b) an ad break, even though I have the sky plussy thing it just doesn't have the same impact without the added break times to fully digest what has happened.

Oh, every time I watch this series I get so cross that the writers screwed up Abbie and Kovac like this. I just wanted them to be happy.

Oh but practically, they end up happy! Don't they? I'm sure from what I remember, they move away because they needed space from county, but in the last series they came back ruefully to visit and told everyone how happy they are? please god let this be true

I think we get told they are happy. But I just wish they would leave them alone. Every time I watch I beg Abbey not to tell him

She'd have to tell him something though - he knows. But I loved it before Curtis Ames and at their wedding. They were so happy, and luka deserved to be happy so much <wipes tear> and I adore abbey as well.

We get to see both sides of a phonecall between Neela and Abby in one of the last few episodes and find out that they are happy that way.

I cried my eyes out at this point, remember it well. As for the first episode of the next season, well.....

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he pulls through. I don't know if I can bear seeing Morris' face otherwise. Did you see the one last week where Morris and neela where held at gun point by the man desperate for them to save his girlfriend? That's where I fell a little bit in love with Morris. Up until then I hated him. And I dislike neela quite a bit now she slept with brenner. And does it strike you that gates looks a lot like George clooney? I'm babbling because I can't take the tension...

Morris really grew on me the last season or two. I've only been dipping in and out this time, so not fully up to speed but yes, I think Gates is a Clooney-a-like.

Get the dvds for the first few seasons and you'll go right off this lot. For me Season 6 was probably the last of the great times - but that's because I loved the Green/Corday thing and Hathaway - happy times.
