Teenagers

Do you still have cuddles with your teenage boys?

My soon to be 14 year old boy actively seeks me out for a cuddle in the evenings. He's growing a little moustache but is still quite "boy" like in many ways. I think it's lovely and am perfectly happy for it to continue.

Is it unusual though?

I suspect they're cuddly until they get a girlfriend who then gets all the cuddles!
Mine is nearly 13 and very cuddly.

Mine is nearly 18 and the cuddles from him have been less and less frequent over the years but I do still occasionally get a bone crunching bear hug and a 'love ya Ma'. I still hug him when I can and always kiss him goodnight which he grudgingly admits he does like. He will be going to University in September and I will miss his hairy monosyllabic presence so much and am dreading it.

Mine is nearly 13, and I get more cuddles from him than from his two sisters put together.

He also loves a shoulder massage or a foot rub (big jessie).

Aw, that's lovely to read, I also have a big jessie, who likes his feet rubbed, arms stroked, head scratched etc.

I'm looking forward to getting patted on the head when he is taller than me. lol Grin

Yes all the time.
DS1 is 6'2" and does tend to pick me up and swing me round in the process though.
DS2 is still very cuddly at bedtime. They are 16 and 13.
They are under oath never to stop. Grin

DS is the same, far more cuddly than his sister even though he is taller than me and he loves having his back rubbed, hair scratched etc too. Grin

Ds2 yes, all the time.
Ds1 is at uni but I get huge hugs and because he is six foot pus he drops kisses on the top of my head. I love teenagers.

Yes he's as tall as me but still kisses and hugs me several times a day - just not within sight of his friends Grin

Yes, I have a DS fix daily. He is 15 and tolerates me manfully, he is lovely.

DS is nearly 13 and has been 'groomed' from a young age never to stop giving hugs to his Mum, or to be embarrassed of her in public. DS stands in front of me with his arms open and says "Hug", which is just gorgeous. Love him to bits, nearly taller than me now and will soon be doling out those little pats on top of the head that teenage boys like to give their mums.

Mine is nearly 13 and comes in bed for a cuddle every morning.
He is still quite small, unlike his 6 feet sister.

Oh yes, frequent Mummy hugs. 17 next week and just under 6ft 4".

Awww...mine are only 3 & 5 but am really heartened to read this. They're both so cuddly and I have visions of my 50 year old self manhandling my reluctant teens into bear hugs...

DS is 11.8 and is the cuddliest boy around...always has been Grin. Am still much heartened by those who have older DS's who have retained their cuddly tendencies.

Absolutely, several times a day. He's 17, a foot taller than me and lovely to cuddle.
Except when he thinks it amusing to sit on my lap.

Same. DS is 14. Strops last a second; hugs for a minute.

Yes, mine is 16 and we still have a hug.
If I go to bed when he's still up I always call goodnight and he always comes through to give me a hug before I go to sleep,
Same in the morning before he goes to school.

Ds whi is 16 is very cuddly, sometimes he even kisses me when he gets out the car for school lol. Must be because he's so tired he's forgotten he is not supposed to do that ;-) seriously we have a cuddle and a chat last thing at night, weekdays at least. he goes to bed too late on weekends.

My ds has been ill and off school for nearly a month; I got hugs several times a day from him. Once he had him on the road to getting better, the hugs stopped. I asked him on Friday - Hey! Wheres my hug?!. He said Oh, I'm feeling so much better now Mum, I don't need as many.
So I chased him round the kitchen until he gave in and hugged me!

We often have a group hug on a Sunday night. We just stand in the kitchen, link arms, and hug for a few seconds. I think its important that everyone starts a new week knowing that they are loved.
