In two weeks time, I shall be going to a real life , proper , qualified hairdressers for the first time in years. for a bit of a hair overhaul

not quite sure what she will do with the scorched bits , but hey ho!

so, what shall i go for?

is a centre parting terrible?

i have fine wavy hair that can go curly/frizzy in the rain/damp.

Buy some magazines and take some pictures of the stuff you like and then chat with her.
If she is any good she should be able to advise you well
I have recently gone for a fringe after years of avoidance, and am pleasantly suprised although quite like brushing it to one side as well

and condolences, having hair trouble is a nightmare, I got all in a mess with my colouring, now have found the right product and all is well in the world

i don;t really buy magazines.. is the people's friend a good one for style

would love a fringe but my hair does not lie flat at the front.

thanks though

And I started using a straightener as well, (do have quite straight hair) but it is great for quick easy styling, WHY DID NO-ONE TELL ME ABOUT THEM BEFORE
I also suggest a different magazine

i use my straighteners all the time, hence the scorched bits.

post DD, my hair has just not recovered

Am watching with interest - no advice, but I also have fine wavy/curly hair and have cut my own hair since dd1 was born 2 years ago.... I have no idea if my hair can even have a "style" but am feeling ashamed since admitting on another thread about grooming that I don't manage to shower every day so need to improve my looks

So, I will be seeing what you get done and then copying shamlessly

my hair is past my shoulders, and i wear it tied up virtually every day

i don;r suit shorter hair and a long layered bob seems to be the only thing i can get

i agree with ruby - toss out those straighteners bring on the hair wax

Report
SheherazadetheGoat · 04/02/2009 20:05

as opposed to a pea head with scorched hair?

impossible to advise really without pictures.

Report
rubyslippers · 04/02/2009 20:06

no you won't look like a pea head

you need to stop straightening or make the most of the natural curl

you have lovely ears, great eyes and you would look fab

If your hair's a bit wavy it will give shorter hair volume and so you won't be pea-head!

how about this

rubyslippers · 04/02/2009 20:17
