So what's the best brow make up out there?

I have quite fair, sparse, slightly gappy eyebrows that definitely need extra help.
I'm using a Lancôme brow pencil, but am not that good at applying it and have heard pencils are not the best option anyway.. What is?

I like the sleek brow palette, has two wee brushes, little tweezers, a wax and a powder

I use the benefit brow zings thing. The Sleek palette is exactly the same and so much cheaper (will be buying it next time!). It's fab and looks very natural.

ELF brow palette as it's the only one I've found with lots of shades, not just medium and dark.

Cheap as chips too, it's online but there are constant free shipping codes and such.

Depends on how much you want to spend...
low budget use any matte eyeshadow with an angled brush
high end Anastasia beverly hills brow whiz pencil or pomade

Thanks, I'll investigate all suggestions x

I'm not necessarily looking for cheap, I generally find you get what you pay for, and make up stuffs tend to last me yonks and yonks because I don't pile it on or get out much :)
Also, I'll be traveling over the next few weeks so thought I might stock up in the duty free..

I use Benefit Brow Zings. I like my brows to look natural but defined. I bought mine in Nov 2013 and use it approx every day. I still have at least another year of use.
My sister has bought the Sleek one and it is exactly the same. Powder, wax, brushes and tiny tweezers. If it appears to be as long lasting as my Benefit then I will buy it when mine runs out.

I tried on Friday the new Bobbi Brown eyebrow pencil which has just come out/due to be released and loved it. It cost £29 but was easy to use, made huge difference and even better I could use it and it did the job.

I have MAC pencils and also Laura Mercier powders. Both good and natural but the pencil does seem to last better.

I have the Sleek one. It's ok, easy to use but just very slightly too red toned for me, but so was Brow Zings when a Benefit lady did my brows. The colour of the Eyebrow Stylist thing from Sleek is better for me so will probably go back to that.

I'm a bit confused though and have just been using the wax bit. Are you meant to apply the powder afterwards? Or first? Confused

I'm using the Rimmel Brow this way now and it's doing well but I've massive brows so it's more for a little definition, mostly just to tame them! I dream of the urban decay brow kit though. My best mate uses it and has had total strangers ask her about hers. Eyebrow envy is not something I thought I'd have to worry about before Angry

I use the Illamasqua eyebrow cake and I think it's fantastic ,last ages too.plus they have a lot more shades than other eyebrow pallets I've seen.

Sorry to gate crash your thread OP - does anybody rate benefit gimme brow? Been thinking of trying if for a while now but it seems expensive for the little amount of product you get. was kinda hoping someone would have suggested it on this thread by now

I found the sleek way too dark, even the light shades. I use revlon powder can't remember the name but it's like £1.50 on eBay, two colours, great wee brush and good tones not ashy or red.

BallroomwithNoBalls you use the wax bit of the Brow Zing then the powder. I asked the sales assistant because I was sure the wax would be last to set the brows. I was wrong Smile

another voter for the ELF brow palette, got mine on an ebay store and swear by it - I dont use the brush it came with though as found it too small and fiddly but the wax and powder are great!

After years with BrowZings I now much prefer the Sleek "eyebrow stylist", which is a soft stick, then whizz Benefit Gimme Brow mascara-type stuff over the top. However in checking the name of the Sleek one I see they also do an equivalent of the Gimme Brow for £4.99 (as opposed to £17.50) so think I know what I'll be trying once the Benefit one runs out!

I gave up on all this and now just get them waxed and tinted at the salon. It was a revelation!

Pumpkinette I use Gimme Brow in the lighter shade, and I like it. It's expensive, but seems to last quite a long time. I just re-bought it for the first time, I waited until there was a 20% off offer somewhere.

Benefit brow. A make up artist friend suggested it and after two years it is still going strong.

I had the benefit brow zings-loved IT (dd nicked it) then the gimme brow(git last summer-run out now) so I got the MUA version-just as good and uber cheap. (Blonde with hardly any brows)

I like the Benefit brow mascara thing. I tried one of the cheaper versions when mine ran out, then ended up in a right mess when I was caught in the rain, so went back to Benefit.
