Whereismycoffee - you can get metanium in the baby section of most supermarkets or chemists. It's a nappy rash cream that comes in a yellow box. It's quite stinky and a very unpleasant yellow colour but does work on spots (and nappy rash).

I used to open my dad's bottle of Givenchy, place the mouth of the bottle over the spot then tip my head back. Stung (and stank) like a goodun but worked. Givenchy is evil stuff.

Avene Cicalfate, antibacterial but does not dry your skin up (that's what causes scars).

dab with dettol diluted with hot water before you go to bed. I find that works better than Sudocreme.

Don't forget the painkiller as it reduces the inflammation. They actually sell spot cream now with anti-inflammatories in it but I can't remember the brand.

Same thing works for sunburn in case you ever need to know.
