Not a frizz ball, which is what I tend to get if I let my hear to its own devices. How do I get one? It has to be an easy method as I'm not very dexterous plus never have time in the mornings.

Salt spray! My hair is basically straight but if I don't use straighteners and scrunch with some salt spray these secret waves come out! Hair should be almost dry when sprayed.

I would try straightening your hair for smoothness then using the sand straighteners to do wavy curls. Vertical and very easy to do. My hairdresser did a bunch at my last salon appointment and I can now do my whole head in just a few minutes!

Have you got naturally curly/wavy hair anyway? How do you normally style it? What cut have you currently got?

I have natural curls, which used to be manageable until the last few years but have turned increasingly "frizzball".

Just bought the Curly Girl book... and hair transformed in about 3 days! THis morning I woke up with my curls in tact (but no crunchiness) and just a quick spritz of the lavender spray (homemade) suggested and my hair looks as new. I think this is the first morning in my entire life that I have woken up not looking like I have walked through a frizz-creating hedge backwards. (Oh and my main problem? Power Shower installed a couple of years back...wonderful shower - but stripping all natural oils from my hair and also cleansing the conditioner out too much as well....anyhoo really recommend the book).

I would tackle the frizz first. Then google images for the sort of bob you want and off to the hairdressers.....

What are sand straighteners?
I've a straight bob and would love waves too.
If I don't straighten it it's just bulky, may try the salt spray. How much do you use?

Salt spray, I just wash, spray, scrunch and shake and leave it to dry, nice waves no frizz

This is pretty much the original salt spray. It's a spray which adds texture and hold to the hair and so helps to produce curls.

Unfortunately it never seems to work for me. Not sure if it's because my hair is wavy already, but it tends to just make it a bit messy, it doesn't help to define the curls. I've also tried the undressing creme and that doesn't do much either! The thickening spray is quite good though. I'm wish I knew why the salt spray doesn't have any magic effects on my hair, but I think being naturally wavy has something to do with it.

My hair is naturally wavy and I had a 'long bob' cut in and I'm really pleased with it, a bit longer than normal gives you more to play with and allows for bounce.

I use just a leave in frizz free cream (think it's wella), then use straighteners but on a low heat to take away the frizz without squashing the wave, sometimes use Babyliss big hair near the roots, then finish with a textured wax.
