Where do you buy jeans from?!

I feel very limited to Miss Selfridge (I'm a size 8) but they only ever have about 4 different things in their petite range, and then it's a luck of the draw if anything actually looks good on me.

I've worn the same pair of black skinny jeans for about 5 weeks in a row now Blush

Also, while I'm here, what kind of shoes do you wear with day dresses? I'm a SAHM and no good with heels really...!

Red Herring from Debenhams do skinny jeans that I quite like. They also have other petite ranges all in one place so there's more choice. Day dresses I would tend to wear converse type pumps or ballet flats - heels look weird with dresses unless you are going "out". I find it very hard not to look dumpy (especially as I am more 12-14 size).

Next petite range fit me well!

Jeans - uniqlo as they so free alterations in store. They only have branches in London though.

Shoes - ballet flats. Brogues would also work. Now that it's coming up to summer, sandals.

I've just bought 2 pairs of jeans from jasper conran at Debenhams because I'd been looking for ages for a decent pair and these ones were just right so I bought blue and black! Next petite can be good but are a bit hit and miss for me.

For day dresses I wear thick black tights with ankle boots in the winter and then with sandals in the summer, sometimes with a heel, sometimes flats.

I'm not petite, but I have found Next to be pretty good for every day jeans. The sizing can be a bit hit and miss, but I normally can get something to fit me and they was hand wear well.

Shoes - I'm a short skirt and tights person and either wear my sparkly hi-tops or Uggs. In summer I wear shorts or skirts with converse-a-likes or ballet flats.

Next for petite jeans. The sexy high waist skinnies are fab.

I can't decide if I'm brave enough for high waisted!

4' 11'' here and I buy from New Look most of the time in the 28" leg length and roll up or fold under as needed. I have a 26" inside leg and the only ones that truly fit length wise are children's jeans but I don't fit in those width wise!

Also worth looking in the teen sections as I have found they tend to be shorter.

I am 5'1", I buy jeans from topshop, next, Dorothy Perkins or gap.
Used to buy Levi's in 28" leg but went off them as they were not skinny enough (not tried them for a few years though)

I'm 5 ft. I never buy petite . I often buy 32 leg . I don't have particularly long legs but I have a bit of material around my ankle. I think it looks better than them stopping flat . Also I roll alot of my jeans up so it doesn't matter what length they are .

I wear havianas or leather flat sandals with dresses.

If your an 8 and mean, you may well get into some 13/14 girls stuff. Teen sizes and lengths are very variable.

M&S cropped jeggings are also fab- ankle skimming length, just skinny enough and a reasonsbly high waist to hide floppy bits

I'm 5ft, and can only buy jeans in Next. They aren't great and sometimes don't really fit properly, but I've never found any others that even close to the right length. I do have some child's jeans, I think they are age 13, but they are much too long.

Ivedunnit · 22/04/2014 16:35

Next childrens jean's age 12 - perfect ! Go for the one withs some lycra.
I have them in Red/Black/Grey You can get some in the plus size which gives an extra inch or so at the waist but the same length.
For price / style and longevity they are hard to beat !
The only shoes I would wear during the day would be wedges!

Do Next do jeans with a waist where it should be?

I have a couple of pairs of H&M super sqin skinny (handed down from daughter), but hate the low waist.
