I have lost weight and went jeans shopping yesterday. Bought a pair of Citizens of Humanity Amber jeans - like this. I was going to wear them with nude wedges or silver flip flops and a tan/silver tote. But now I'm worrying that boot cuts are frump tastic and I should have got jeans that are skinny all the way down, even though I hate them and they do not suit me. Please tell me about boot cuts and whether I have just bought something really mumsy. And how is best to wear them in very warm weather? (Live in tropics)
I am 42, 5'6-7 and they were a 29 inch waist - I'm a 10/12 hour glass shape, still trying to shift a bit of weight on my tummy.
I can't wear skinnies, don't like them on other people much either and they're such a faff to get on and off. I like my jeans wide legged (I don't want my thighs hugged thank you) and long but they are so difficult to find as I'm not "on trend".
They are a gorgeous shape & far more flattering to the model than any of the more skinny ones at the bottom of that page. I'm another who can't really do skinnies, hourglass size12. A slight flare balances me out but in skinnies I look like an impersonation of Max Wall
