I really want to know what's in the Feb Feel Unique box, but can't find out on the web. Someone spill the beans, please!

dingdong3 Sat 04-Feb-12 17:59:11

I will!!
Decleor Phytopeael Face Cream - 15ml
Elemis Exotic Lime & Ginger Hand & Body Wash - 100ml
Leighton Denny nail varnish - 4.6ml. My colour is Sugar & Spice - pale pearlescant colour
Philip Kingsley Maximiser - 60ml (spray onto roots before drying for volume)
Nuxe Multi Usage Dry Oil Golden Shimmer - 10ml glass bottle
Tiny JPG aftershave sample like the size you pick up free at perfume counter.

Not sure about it TBH...slightly unimpressed. Maybe if I didn't have a thick mop of hair that definitely doesn't need volume, I'd be happier as the Philip Kinglsey stuff is probably very good. Have given it to my neighbour.

I think I expected more for £10 but maybe I'm being unreasonable..anyone else?

That is a great box - jealous as I am moving house in march so i can't get the FU box until April. Ml for ml it is def worth it but I use pretty much all of those products. Ah well, I'll just have to wait to sign up for that one. I have box envy envy

dingdong3 Sat 04-Feb-12 18:17:06

I suppose that's the way of it...it'll suit some people more than others. I'd actually sell it to you Mrs Martin if you pay the postage...that probably sums up my feelings on it. Neighbour was non-plussed about the hair thing so don't have to give it to her when I see her tomorrow. PM me if interested but no problems if you're not smile

I'm thinking of subscribing to She Said, so interested in feedback if anyone has already subscribed smile

Housewife2010 Wed 08-Feb-12 13:31:32

Has anyone received the February Amarya box which are being delivered from today? I'm really dithering over getting a subscription & I'd love to know what's in it.

wonkyduck Wed 08-Feb-12 19:08:51

My February Amayra box came today and includes:

Neom - happiness travel candle (pretty big to be honest and smells gorgeous).
Zoya Nail Varnish (full size) in a lovely pale pastel grey.
Essential Care Avacado Replenishing cream (handbag type tube - 15ml?) for mature or very dry skin
Essential Care - Organic Rose day moisturiser (magazine sample size sachet).

I think its quite good value as the nail varnish is a fab colour and the candle is lovely - would make a good gift to pass on.

Housewife2010 Wed 08-Feb-12 20:42:21

Thank you wonkyduck.
I'm umming & ahhing over Amarya. It looks good & the December set with the Ren duo looked amazing.Do you do it monthly or annually? I'm tempted to do it annually for £100 (i have a link) & the £12 of points that comes with it, but it's still a £100 outlay, hence the hesitation. I don't fancy the nail varnish - my nails are atrocious - but the rest sounds good.

wonkyduck Mon 13-Feb-12 20:25:36

Sorry Housewife for slow reply. I just do it monthly as I'm commitment phobic and quite fancy swopping to another beauty box if I get a bum one.. if you get £12 of points that's quite a good deal though... I'm currently typing with the nail varnish on and its more of a pale blue colour so by accident I'm 'on trend' for spring wink

Bump for this months boxes smile

Housewife2010 Mon 20-Feb-12 11:51:57

I'm impatiently waiting for my Glossybox & Boudoir Prive boxes which should arrive anytime. There are spoilers for Glossybox on Twitter. There are 2 or 3 GB versions. I don't think they are too exciting this month, but I'd like the Dr Bronner Magic Soap in Lavender one. I'm crossing my fingers I really don't get the one with the stick-on nails! Please cross your fingers for me too...

hiviolet Mon 20-Feb-12 12:25:29

Got my Glossybox this morning. Practically threw the baby on the bed when the postie knocked.

I got:

Duwop venom gloss in Buttercup

Impress press on manicure in ridiculous stripy neon colours, but surprisingly enough I like them!

Paul Mitchell quick slip styling cream - not sure how you're supposed to use it as I can't peel off the bloody instructions.

BM Beauty mineral eyeshadow in Dusty Road.

Como Shambhala invigorate shower gel - initially underwhelmed but smells glorious.

I'm 50% meh about this box. The eyeshadow especially isn't that interesting as I already have a couple of MAC pigments in a similar shade.

Housewife2010 Mon 20-Feb-12 12:43:56

I think my postie's run off with mine. I'll have to look out for a suspicious looking one with press-on nails!
What shade is Dusty Road?
If I get the nails (I really don't want them), I'll have to Ebay them. I've noticed that they sell for £8.99 in Boots.

hiviolet Mon 20-Feb-12 12:45:24

Tsk, Glossybox reckon they're worth £17.40.

The eyeshadow is a browny gold shimmer.

Housewife2010 Mon 20-Feb-12 12:49:14

£17.40! I still don't want them. Just ran to the door, but it was Yodel with my Book People order. The poor man had braved the rain, but I was so disappointed it wasn't the Glossy Postie.

Housewife2010 Mon 20-Feb-12 12:51:42

The eyeshadow sounds nice though. One blogger got it in black & suggested mixing it with lipstick! I really can't turn up on the school run with black eyes, lips & leopard print nails. This is Liverpool, after all. I've got a couple of hours to choose today's pyjamas & get my rollers in...

Mines here and I'm a bit meh about it sad

Duwop Venom Gloss in Buttercup,

Dr Bronner Magic Liquid Soap,

Paul Mitchell Round Trip,

BM Beauty Pure Mineral Eyeshadow in Dusty Road,

Como Shambhala Invigorate Body Lotion,

The gloss I'll probably use, the Paul Mitchell will be ok for me and dd1 who both have wavy hair, I also can't read the instructions though as the label won't come off!, the eye shadow I'll have a try of so really it's only the body lotion and liquid soap that I'll pass on.

Still looking forward to my She Said box smile

Housewife2010 Mon 20-Feb-12 13:59:58

Stella

Yours is the box I'm hoping for. I'd probably Ebay the gloss though as my lips can be a bit sensitive so Venom sounds a bit scary. I like the sound of the Paul Mitchell Awapuhi hair oil in one of the other boxes, but I don't want false nails!

Yeah I've advertised the gloss for swaps already as I hate the plumping lipsticks etc, I'm obviously delicate in the mouth area!

Snakeonaplane Mon 20-Feb-12 14:36:39

Very dissapointed with glossy box, hand sanitizer , Paul Mitchell relaxing balm, eyeshadow in a horrible violet colour and comoshambala shower gel. It's the make up I got it for but blue eyeliner that smudges all over my face and purple eyeshadow are not for me. Loving the duwop lipgloss though.

One handed typing as bf, apologies for crap post.

My Glossy Box has just arrived and there's nothing of any use in it. It's my first beauty box too so it's rather put me off them.

The packaging is lovely - A pretty ribbon and lots of tissue paper - Just like you like get with expensive undies.

However, the contents...

Como Shambhala body lotion ~ Body lotion would have been fine if it wasn't fragrance with eucalyptus, lavender and geranium. I honestly HATE all three so to put them all together in one product... Eugh!

Paul Mitchell liquid curl definer ~ My hair has a slight wave but I straighten it daily so no use to me at all.

DuWop venom gloss in Buttercup ~ I don't wear lipstick. Never. Not even for special occasions as I hate the sticky feeling and taste/smell.

Dr Bronner's Magic Soap ~ Eucalyptus again! Yuk.

BM beauty eyeshadow in Dusty Road ~ A colour I'd use but I have several in the same shade already.

It would be great if one of the beauty boxes previewed 20 samples monthly on their website. You choose 10 and then a lovely box with 5 of your 10 choices arrived. The element of surprise would still be there but you'd also get some products you know you'd use.

Oh, how I'd hoped for a box of Kiehl's and Clarins samples!

aliciaflorrick Mon 20-Feb-12 15:17:56

I'm in France and am waiting for my Glossybox, I was expecting it today but was out and the postie hasn't left a note, so maybe tomorrow. It's my first one so to say I'm a bit excited is an understatement.

dingdong3 Mon 20-Feb-12 15:54:30

My glossy box just arrived and I'm happy that i'll use it all.
Got the BM eyeshadow in purple colour, shower gel, lavender hand sanitizer (v handy for dirty toddlers), Paul Mitchell smoothing stuff (just what my hair needs) and the lip gloss (you can never have enough of them).

Anyone know what the 'Expect the Unexpected' card means - talks about a mystery box - check from Feb 24th it says...hmm

Got my first ever box today, sounds like I got similar to everyone else....Becca cheek and lip tint in watermelon, dr browner lavender hand sanitizer, Paul Mitchell wild ginger treatment oil, bm eye shadow in black and shambhala shower gel.
All in all I'm happy smile

Well, I take it all back. My Glossy Box was worth every penny for the laugh the label on Dr Bronner's Magic Soap has just given DP and I.

'Health is wealth. Within 9 minutes you feel fresh and clean saving 90% of your hot water and soap, ready to help teach the whole human race the Moral ABC of all-one-God-faith! For we're ALL-ONE OR NONE! ALL-ONE! ALL-ONE! ALL-ONE!' Oh, get over yourselves. It's just soap.

Warning's good too... 'Keep out of eyes. If cap clogs, poke it clear only! do not squeeze bottle and shoot out soap.' Right oh.
