tinted moisturiser

I've been using chantecaille 'just skin' tinted moisturiser for a couple of years now and like everything about it apart from the price ...

can anyone recommend a good tinted moisturiser that won't put such a dent in my bank balance

or should I think that as I had my 48th birthday a couple of days ago that I need all the help I can get and should economise on things like the kids' food instead?? Wink

Yep. Stick with the expensive face stuff and feed them economy beans. Grin
Nuxe tinted moisturiser is lovely - not sure how price compares.

I have been using the Bobbi Brown balm tinted thingy here

should be cheaper than the lovely Chantecaille, I would keep using what you like to be honest it is hard to find a good fit iykwim

I love the Laura Mercier one but doubt it's much cheaper tbh.

Vichy tinted moisturiser is about a third the price of some of these and very good.

I've always used Vichy Creme Teintee Lumineuse which is very reasonable, but they have discontinued their lightest shade and the next one is too dark for me. If you arent too fair skinned, it might suit and its lovely.

When we were away in New York, a make up expert recommended Laura Mercier's tinted moisturiser and I have to say I really love that, makes your skin look really radiant (I'm a similar vintage to you generalh!) but is about £30 in the UK I think.

Last one I like is the Body Shop's Vitamin E Tinted Moisturiser Lotion. Worth a try too?

Soap and Glory tinted moisturiser is lovely and less than a tenner so well worth trying.

I'd keep with it personally if it suits you. It's v. good and my other favourites, Laura Mercier, By Terry, and Bobbi Brown as, or almost as, expensive.

No7 triple protection tinted moisturiser is lovely and is £12 and very often on offer Smile

I use Virgin Vie tinted moisturiser and it really suits my skin. I am 52 BTW.

I have used the Vichy one and liked it, but can't find it anywhere near me and can't remember what shade I used.

I have just starte dusing the Aveda one again. Not sure what you're paying now, but that is £23 and well worth it IMO. It feels and looks like I have nothing on at all, but evens my skintone really well.

You can get Vichy moisturiser [http://www.expresschemist.co.uk/Vichy-Lumineuse-Tinted-Moisturisers.html here]]

Sadly, the shade 00 has been discontinued

thanks for suggestions .. I'm ashamed to say I've never actually looked at how much I was paying Blush just knew it was a lot and handed over my credit card ...

I'm about to run out and thought I really ought to know how much I'm paying ... and it's £55!!!!! even the Laura Mercier (which is not cheap) is a lot less than that

Laura Mercier .. which one, there are three!

Lm is my all time favourite . I use the 'ordinary' one but there is an oil free one if your skin is oilier and a more 'glowy' illuminating one . Ideally go to space nk and have a try .

Another vote for Boots No 7 - nice coverage and colour. And a lot cheaper ... Smile

Follyfoot have you found anything pale to suit? I'd like to buy a tinted moisturiser but everything is so dark. I use LilyLolo mineral foundation blonde at present but would prefer something non-powdery for summer.

Hi accessorize. The Laura Mercier one is perfect for me - the natural radiance shade, but I see there is one shade paler too. The Bodyshop one looks dark in the tube but isnt on, so that might be worth a try too.

I use and really like Kiehls's Ultra Facial Tinted Moisturiser in Light - about £20 for a 75ml bottle. It gives less coverage than Laura Mercier, but the colour is less yellow-based and better for a pink skintone.

thanks follyfoot, I've heard really good thinks about LM but never bought anything. Will check out BodyShop first tho as could be a wee bit cheaper.. Kiehls sounds great too nerdgirl, just don't think i could find anywhere to try it round here, where is it sold? Is Kiehl's less chemicals, I try generally to have fewer chemicals these days.

Like sfxmum I use the Bobbi Brown balm and love it. Used dermologica in the past, that's nice too but I prefer the BB.

Space NK sell Kiehl's, although not all branches have the tinted moisturiser - if you buy Chantecaille/Laura Mercier I assumed you must shop there! Worth testing if you see it anyway.

thanks nerdgirl, I wasn't the op and certainly don't buy chantecaille. Have never been to SpaceNK but they seem to do a lot of good brands. Will have to make the trip to the big city...
