Hello! We've been asked by Kodak to find 10 to 15 Mumsnetters who'd like to go along to review Kodak printers. Basically, they'd like to show off their new printer range to you and let you have a play with them.
The review event is taking place on Wednesday 22nd April at 10.30am in Folgate Street London, E1 (5 mins walk from Liverpool Street Station; exact location and directions will be emailed to those taking part). You are welcome to bring babies/ toddlers with you, if you need to.
Food and drink will be provided and you'd need to be able to stay for up to 2 hours.
Travel expenses would be paid (up to £30) and everyone who is selected and attends will receive a Kodak gift album or frame worth £30-40.
Kodak would like a broad range of parents to come but would particularly like to encourage anyone who works from home (paid or unpaid, full-time or part-time), or someone who tends to print quite a bit or would like to print more (photos, insurance documents, warranties, directions, favourite recipes etc).
You would need to bring some photos on memory sticks/cards for test printing.
After the event, Kodak would like you to post your thoughts on the printers and on printing photos in general - a link to the thread would be emailed to all participants.
To be considered for this, please complete the questions here and we'll notify those selected by 15th April by email.
Thank you!
I got all excited as I am looking for a new photo printer but just realised I will be back at work.

Also would like a wireless printer.
Dwaynedibbly, sorry this one is in London - it's quite accessable from North of London/Essex etc as well but I take your point. We're hoping to have some events outside of London soon - watch this space!

I am definitely up for this! However, everything is stored on photobox or on my laptop so would I have to bring that with me?
(as well as 5 month old baby girl!)
I work from home, but currently on mat leave so fit the brief booootifully!
Not the best plan to organise this for during the school holidays if they want parents to take part.
Grr, why can't it be the week after on the 29th? I'm travelling down from Scotland to see my family near London the week after! [Me is not a happy
]
Can'tsleep - I believe most schools are back that week - I'm in Herts and we are back 21st April. Sorry if is still school hols for you.
Dozymare - is bringing your laptop a possibility? I'll ask about accessing photobox!
I'm in Herts too, but dd (nursery school) doesn't go back til 27th. Ah well.
Dozymare-there's wireless internet access in the event room + PCs there were photobox can be accessed! Hope you can make it.
Can'tsleep -what a shame! kodak have said you can bring children though and they'll help entertain them...so if you are feeling strong....?

I wonder if I can get an Easyjet flight for £30
If you are thinking about doing events like this outside of the capital, how about going the whole hog and doing something for your overseas MNetters?
Geneva is lovely at this time of year. I will even bake you some scones.
Would I be able to bring DD along or will they pay nursery fees?
Just seen that children can come. I've completed the questionnaire. Could use a day in London.
Scrap that - train fares involved are too high from local station (£150) and it would take three hours as I'd have to go north to come south.
Pants.
